Someone ought to ask all those folks who think republicans are better on security issues why it is that police always seem to back the democratic presidential candidates.

Maybe it's for the same reason that soldiers in Iraq appear to be supporting Obama at the rate of about 6 to 1.

Maybe they've finally figured out the truth.

Maybe it's because democrats actually DO something for police and for veterans, unlike their flag-waving, all-talk, no-walk republican counterparts.

Ask Rudy why the police and fire professionals couldn't communicate with each other on September 11, 2001, even though it had been eight years since he was first warned about the problem.

I don't imagine they forget things like that, even if republicans do.

Want proof. Here it is. Speaking to a Mccain/Palin suppoter this weekend I asked why Mccain/Palin. They stated because they didn't like Obama. When asked why they didn't like Obama they stated, "I don't know, I just don't". When pressed what it is about Obama they didn't like they stated "I don't like his policies". When ask what policies, they stated "His tax policies because he wants to raise taxes on everyone". I said is that it?. Is that why you don't like Obama? They stated "Yes". When pointed out that if Obama did raise taxes his plan (of which he has spoken hundreds of times) is to slightly raise taxes on those making over $250,000 per year. Their comment, "That's not what I heard".

I watched the exopressions on their face while asking these questions. The person's voice said one thing (based on false information) while the facial expressions said another (they didn't have a clue why they didn't like Obama, they just didn't).

God save us! A large portion of this country's population belong on the idiot farm.

Good. Glad to hear about the endorsement. I will like to response to the ap/yahoo poll which seems to be getting alot of attention. First, the poll said that some people have prejudices over people of color. However, the poll did not state that the people in the poll will not vote for Obama. If you look at the poll, most people had a favorable view of Obama more so than unfavorable which is good news. Remeber the economy is bad, people vote based on their pocketbooks not race. Second, for Obama to be a person of color why is he running neck to neck or even in the lead of McCain. No one has talked about this. Despite McCain having the experience and is white, he is not leading Obama at all. The question is why isn't McCain up by 10-15 points aganist a person of color who is a first time senator. This shows that race may not be an issue after all. It may be for some, but that is a small percentage. Take this under consideration. Obama will win.
