Howie Kurtz raised some eyebrows by reporting this morning that "the worst may be yet to come for Palin; sources say CBS has two more responses on tape that will likely prove embarrassing."

A source familiar with CBS News’ plans clarified that this is part of the "Vice Presidential Questions" series with Biden and Palin. The recorded segments are scheduled to air Wednesday and Thursday before the vice presidential debate. (The series is based on the Presidential Questions series, in which Couric asks the candidates the same set of questions on wide range of topics from policy to character to leadership.)

No word on the content.

The obvious choice for President is McCain. He has the experience, the ideas, the leadership qualities, and the foresight to bring change to Washington. But the media will have none of that. The media has gone so liberal that their bias is showing for all the world to see. They like Obama, he has a good story, and he sounds good, and most people in the media agree wtih what he says. No matter Obama has no experience, no accomplishments, no resume, no history. Obama would be the first President elected solely because the media has gone so deep in the tank for him.

You can't blame Joe Biden for not knowing what Obama's stance on clean coal or anything else, for that matter. Obama deliberately uses rhetoric so vague, yet so important sounding, that anything can be read into his statements.

Therefore, environmentalists believe he is against coal, while those who are for clean coal believe he is for it. It is the same with taxes, the bail out bill, etc. The strongest stand he will take on anything is to vote 'present'.

We cannot afford, economically or security-wise, to have this empty suit in the White HOuse.

Coal will never be clean. Anything that you have to burn through combustion will never be clean. It can be very clean, but it will never be total clean. If there was a way that power companies were willing to do to keep the exhaust fumes (CO2 CO and others) contained, then it would be less bad and usable for the time being until we can use nothing but fusion, solar, wind and fission.

I love supporters of McCain who declare their unwavering support of the 'obvious' choice based on labels (visionary, experienced, ideas to bring change) but can name not one example of that visionary leadership or how McCain's proposed policies represent change from what now exists. But this is typical of Republicans; their candidate is "patriotic", has "values", is a "leader" but specifics are tossed out the window.

For those who think this way, you've had 8 years of platitudes, labels, and shenanigans. ENOUGH! You'll just have to live in this country without your 'leaders'. Ethanol from corn is a lousy, lousy, LOUSY way to make us energy independent. Get it from sugarcane or switchgrass but NOT from corn! The ratio of energy return is total crap and makes our foods more expensive. We can grow sugarcane like mad in LA, AL, FL and maybe GA and keep it in the family here in the US. Corn ethanol is a mistake and has already proven so over the last year or so.
