What he said,again, is absolutely nothing.

And for Democrats to blame republicans for the bill's failure is proof of their inability to do simple arithmatic. The Democrats could have passed this bill themselves, but they failed to do so.

That said, it is interesting that the bill seemed headed to passage before Speaker Pelosi opened her mouth and spewed forth more of her half-baked venom. It is increasingly apparent that this woman couldn't lead a fire brigade to a burning school and accomplish a rescue.

As for Obama, maybe he should get off the phone for a few minutes and have a talk with house members of his OWN party. He might accomplish something.

Or maybe not. They'd never be able to figure out what it was he wanted them to do.

Barack Obama has shown calm wise bipartisan leadership throughout this while bailout legislation process. He wisely worked behind the scenes and kept himself and presidential politics out of the process, unlike his opponent.

"Lame Duck" McCain has shown his complete lack of leadership in this bailout process by trying to abuse self serving petty partisan political gimmicks to make himself look more important than he was. He has proven he's a lame duck even before he's elected and no amount of lipstick will change that quacking duck.

Barack has shown he's engaged and we can see by his opponent's silence now after the vote's failure who the real fraud is. McCain tried to claim credit for other's work and now the American public will hear the truth from the media.

Although this bill was not a good deal for Main Street, at least it's not a free-for-all for Wall Street, thanks to the Dems. I'm still disappointed that the Dow has tanked again this week due to failure of the bill to pass. The Repubs have been asleep at the wheel for so long they only take action (or in this case, inaction) when their jobs are in jeopardy. Had this not been an election year, they would be continuing the same old lame politics that got us in this mess in the first place.

Get back to work, Congress and put together another package so that our economy can have a chance of getting back on track. If this continues, all of us will be in the soup lines. If no deal can be reached, then what? The alternative ain't very pretty and the USA could go the way of the Soviet Union.

Looking strategically at Obama's campaign alone, as in the debate, Obama is not outlining the actual economic problems that are confronting Americans. We need actual numbers of job losses. We need actual numbers of foreclosures. We need actual numbers of local banks that could 'potentially' go under. We need actual numbers of the unemployment rate. If he wants to make the case, he needs to outline the seriousness of this problem with hard facts.

In response to how our economy affects our national security: Every American can bet that terrorists the world over are looking at this situation very, very carefully, along with other competing countries and markets; who are both looking to see how it will affect their own market but also for the opportunity to raise their own status in the world. If we were to be attacked now, in the form of a suitcase, we may not ever recover. A very scary proposition but one that needs to be explained, in turn offering Obama the chance to cast 'real' vision in this time of uncertainty.

Grow up guys, and take some ownership of this sinking ship that you drove into the rocks.
