my understanding of the bill is that the goverment will be buying the bad assests. The money is not going to wall street. Second, the congress is approving $250 billion and the treasury has to prove that this works. If it does, then the congress will approve more. The bill allows people to renegotiate their mortages, raised the fdic to $250 thousand from $100 thousand which benefits small businesses. Obama is proposing a security tax so it puts the burden of big business to flip the bill instead of taxpayers. It is better than what was initally proposed.

But, apparently, everyone is in such a hurry that the public will have no chance to look at the new bill. No actual testimony of cause or effect, no real definition of the problem, no one can say it will or won't work, it supposedly will pay for itself, etc. etc. This whole things smells something awful.

I have a question to the citizens of Alaska.

Has Sarah been embarrassing you?

Did she have you all completely snowed?

Has her popularity decreased?

I did see the protest against Palin in Alaska. Those people seemed to be reasonable and happy to voice their views. Why are they not being covered by the media.

The more I find out about Sarah, the more I am very afraid of her in the VP position.

And I guess she is likable, if you can get past there shrill voice...

I viewed her debates online and she did well. I am sure she will have the mccain talking points down cold by tomorrow.

BUT THAT DOES NOT make her ready to run the country.

I hear people say she has more experience than Obama. I disagree. Him running his own presidential campaign is comparable to running her state with it's population. PLUS, for almost 2 years he has put himself out there for us to test and evaluate every little detail of his life... even his kindergarten papers!

He's been in his State Senate and a Law professor after EARNING the job as president of the Harvard Law Review.

His BS degree did not take 6 years, like hers (failing out of two of them).
I expect her to read and memorize since she was a news caster before mayor of her small town.

I am a Republican woman over 50 and could not vote for her or Mccain because
