Ayers can silence this, by simply saying what their relationship is/was and is NOT. They worked together on a number of committees. They became friends. They shared some common interests, BUT NOT THE SAME BRAIN. I can think of at least 10 people with whom I work on special projects. I consider them my buddies. We're not close. But we're buddies. AND OUR POLITICS ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT. Yet, when we do special project work together, we turn out a good product. That's called being a grown-up.

Obama needs to link McFailin to their wack job buddies (they can start with Caribou Barbi's witch doctor preacher), if this is what it comes down to.
