So funny that the Obama campaign has such reach into the heart of enemy territory like texas. I sure hope that the Dems work to unseat Westmoreland in Georgia and Bachman in Minnesota, two of the laziest slimiest varmints that ever infested the House of Representatives.

I watched as Obama talked today that the DOW went from over 200 points down to even as he ended his speech. By the time the Shrill Shrew of Alaska spoke the DOW was around 160 points up. By the time her aged angry Sugar Daddy was done speaking the DOW was down to 80 points up and then sunk to zero.

Barack Obama gaveth the DOW hope and McCain/Palin taketh away the DOW's hope. Heckuva job Johnny and Sarah!

All I can tell you is that all of us working our butts off in Texas for Obama are also name-dropping Noriega. A lot of the polls say Texas is out of reach, but believe me when I say the ground game is strong here. I've seen it first hand. We're even mobilized in the reddist areas like Tarrant and Ellis Counties.

Big debate for Texas US Senate tomorrow night on PBS.

So, if nothing else, Cornyn is concerned enough about his prospects that he's willing to debate Noriega. That's a step in the right direction.

Also, Wicker-Musgrove is going to come down to the wire. You're going to have a huge black turnout in Mississippi. If Musgrove can peel off a fraction (about 25%) of whites, he's got it locked.

I live in Cincinnati so we are a big TV market for highly populated northern Kentucky counties. Until a few weeks ago Mitch McConnell was running "happy" ads talking about how he's been a strong leader, etc. Lately... they've gone really negative, personally attacking Bruce Lunsford. So his internal polling much be showing it a close race as well as the 2 other external polls that have it very close.

While Kentucky may be a historically Republican state... they just elected a Democratic as Governor. Steve Beshear (D) beat incumbent Ernie Fletcher (R). Beshear won in a landslide with 59% to 41%.

I would just LOVE to see that weasel McConnell get tossed out.

Any vote for a republican is a vote for all of them. If you vote for one they all vote together when it matters and they vote for themselves, not the rest of us. I will never be able to vote for one and the younger generations coming up need to know this when they hear the lies from the campaigning men and women. If they are aligned with the GOP in any way they are against the majority in this country period. Don't get fooled by the ones who claim to be independents, like joe lieberman from Conn. they just want their cake and eat it too when they are going to put the screws to you when they get to Washington or the local and state government job.

I live in a very conservative oil rich area in Texas. I am voting for Obama and have talked to others that are too. Not one of us has been polled. Also, on another blog I read an article from Tennessee about how many will not say they are voting for Obama for fear of what others will say...I believe Texas has a lot of those people too. My boss is a small business owner and he and his wife are voting for Obama. He cannot say this to very many because of dependence on others in this area for business. This may going on in a lot of places. Just some food for thought.

It is a sad day when good Senators like Susan Collins of Maine, who have served their state well, and represent the last of the moderate Republicans, have their Senate seat in danger. I am a true blue Dem, but seeing a decent policitcal figure like that lose their seat will be a sad day for us all. The Republicans should be ready to tar and feather Bush/Cheney after all this is said and done.

George Bush has been in office for 7 1/2 years. The first six the economy was fine.
A little over one year ago:
1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) the unemployment rate was 4.5%.
4) the DOW JONES hit a record high--14,000 +
5) American's were buying new cars,taking cruises, vacations overseas, living large!...

But American's wanted 'CHANGE!' So, in 2006 they voted in a Democratic Congress and yes--we got 'CHANGE' all right. In the PAST YEAR:
1) Consumer confidence has plummeted;
2) Gasoline is now over $4 a gallon & climbing!;
3) Unemployment is up to 5.5% (a 10% increase!);
4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $12 TRILLION DOLLARS and prices still dropping;
5) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.
6) as I write, THE DOW is probing another low~~ $2.5 TRILLION DOLLARS HAS EVAPORATED FROM THEIR STOCKS, BONDS & MUTUAL FUNDS INVESTMENT PORTFOLIOS!

YES, IN 2006 AMERICA VOTED FOR CHANGE...AND WE SURE GOT IT! ....

REMEMBER THE PRESIDENT HAS NO CONTROL OVER ANY OF THESE ISSUES, ONLY CONGRESS.

AND WHAT HAS CONGRESS DONE IN THE LAST TWO YEARS, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

NOW THE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT CLAIMS HE IS GOING TO REALLY GIVE US CHANGE ALONG WITH A DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS!!!!

As a registered democrat living in Maine, I actually think that Susan Collins is doing a pretty good job in Congress. Maine is generally a blue state, but most people are generally independant minded. While we've voted for dems in the past 4 elections, we have 2 Republican female senators (Olympia Snowe is the other). While I whole heartedly support Obama/Biden, I would have to say that not all Republican senators go in for the necon agenda. Both Snowe and Collins are on the outs with the Republican base, since they generally tend to think for themselves.

I live in Williamson county, a stone's throw from Travis, the only blue county in Texas. Williamson is so red, they made "W" their official county logo. The conversations I'm hearing are not McCain, but Obama. That's a shocker since Kerry's name was never uttered socially in 2004. We democrats are feeling emboldened to speak out in support of our candidate and no one is stoning us. A few close Republican friends, and my own Republican brother, are either confirmed Obama supporters this year or at least too disillusioned to vote for McCain. Hey, no vote for Mccain is a vote for Obama.

Yes, "No more of this kind of Change" but all that alleged prosperity was built on a foundation of a house of cards. The greed and hubris that was driving the indicators you cite was already in place and nearly had run its course by the time this congress came into existence. The party was not sustainable.

Republidiots also like to blame the current congress for the mess that Bush and the previous 14 years of a Republican congress got us into, but very little has been done by this congress because Bush vetoes anything that doesn't favor making the rich richer and the middle class poorer.

We are seeing first-hand how much the Republidiots are concerned about anyone but the super-rich. They make their hundreds of millions of dollars off our middle class backs and then expect us to pay for their screw-ups.
