To see Cindy McBush looking all quipy dollish as she made her statement about Obama yesterday was disgusting. She was playing up the innocent housewife mother role. The McCain Campaign is doing one thing at this point. The are making the Bush Campaigns almost look honorable. McBush is so uncomfortable with the role that his campaign has placed him in that is why he is so bitter and angry. He has become like a sock puppet. His campaign is running him for him to say " My Fellow Prisoners ". Shows how shook he really is The Wally Gator Smile between talking points is gone. I almost feel sorry for him because he was expecting a cake walk to glory. The sad part is The Maverick Character that he claimed to be is no more. I cant see where McCain is comfortable talking about anything, not the economy, not our foreign policy, not

I know the negative campaign was on the stump, but it was not as incitful as over the last few days, maybe someone told them they were on the verge of being arrested for inciting riots and for hate crimes.
Sara Palin had a look on her face yesterday that makes me think she may know they are playing for for a
fool, she didnt look so power crazed. I think it is dawning on her that she will soon be discarded as

Sure, I just heard about her a few weeks ago; and sure, she may have only given a few interviews; and sure, she may be married to someone who is a member of a party that advocates the secession of AK from the United States; and sure, she is refusing to cooperate in an investigation of her abuse of power.... but she's an all American gal who I can relate to.

And quit trying to bring race into this! Just because I consider Palin to be "one of us" (even though I don't know Jack shit about her) and just because I feel like "Barack-Hussein-BoogeyMan-Terrorist-Baby-Kitten-Eater-Scary-Black-Man-Obama" is "not like me"... that has nothing to do with xenophobia or racism. John McCain has sold his soul to the devil in order to try to win this presidency. He's turned into an angry and bitter old man with no shred of his honor or common decency left. What happened to running a civil campaign? What happened to the Straight Talk Express? Like Obama said during the debate - I think the Straight Talk Express has lost a wheel...or two.

McCain and Palin were in PA yesterday and once again, the GOP person giving the introductory speech was using Barack Obama's middle name to invoke fear and hatred in the crowd. Neither McCain or Palin acknowledged what happened and clearly did nothing to prevent the words from ever being said. Simply issuing a generic statement stating they don't condone this sort of rhetoric - after the fact - falls on deaf ears because the damage is done. Their abject silence about the rhetoric during the rally speaks volumes.

Inciting fear, hatred and racism in order to gain votes in this day in age is simply reprehensible. Who does McCain think he's pandering to? Independent and undecided voters will decide this election - let us all hope they have the common decency to rise above this backwards and evil behavior - a vote for McCain is a public statement condoning this sort of rhetoric.

With the state of our nation on everyone's mind this campaign season, I would like to think that our future government leaders could stop all of the attack ads and character assassinations and address the public in a constructive manner. I am looking to be "led" in a direction that I can find assurance in. Our economy is deteriorating before our eyes. Families are concerned about whether or not they will have a home for their children, food to eat, and the forbidden word, healthcare, should they become sick or hurt. From what I have notice on these blogs is that everyone believes their candidate never lies. Well NEWS FLASH no politician with a political career worth mentioning can be completely honest. It just comes with the territory. And for all the hypocrites that think they have to be 100% honest think about all the lies you tell in a day. Telling fibs, half truths, little white lies, embellishing just a little, exaggerating alot, or even omitting some of the truth is all the same & we all do it everyday whether we want to admit it or not. What matters to me is the sincerity behind the person making the statement. I don't claim to know either candidates fully on their political career or personal lives but I am a decent judge of character in my own life. And if I had to gamble my life on one of the two. It would have to be with OBAMA. McCain LOOKS as though he is lying in his campaign. That sinister grin lets you know that he may not have EVERYONE'S best interest in mind. I am not rich and I am not poor. I am the very definition of middle class & if McCain can say "My Friends" ten times in a debate ....why can he not say middle class once in the very same debate to let me know he talking to me? The only reason Barack Obama may not win the election is because of race. White America in general is not ready and the McCain campaign is really working the "scary black man" thing to the hilt.

A white candidate with this much momentum would be looking at a 20 point lead in the polls, but race trumps everything. I believe that the Republicans have an October surprise that will be bogus but introduced during the last week of the campaign to put enough fear in the electorate to take the presidency from Obama. Not long ago I read what was, supposedly, a joke ... It said all the politicians running for president are promising change to the American people. We send them billions and billions of tax dollars and they send us the change.

Funny? Not really; there is too much truth in it to be funny. They ALL promise change. How about if they run on a promise of restoration rather than change. A restoration that would take us back in time to a place where things ran better, smoother and life was more enjoyable. Change? That, in truth, is what they have been giving us all along.

The trouble is, America 's youthful voters today don't know of the great America that existed forty and fifty years ago. They see the world as if it has always existed, as it is now.

I am so disappointed in both candidates. Sen. Obama seemed to offer a fresh, optimistic approach. Sen. McCain seemed to be someone willing to take on difficult and controversial issues and work across party and ideological lines to finds solutions. The promise of both candidates was a new pragmatic approach to governing.

But, as the election draws near, I fear they have shown themselves to be typical politicians, running win at any cost campaigns. This after both had promised an honest, honorable contest.

If they can not keep their promise for a different kind of campaign, how can we trust them to govern in a new way.

For now, I am not inclined to vote for either.

When I listen to pundits and analysts, I frequently here Karl Rove's playbook. Who are these voter's he is talking about? The people surveyed show more committed to Obama than Mccain. A smaller number of Obama supporters "might change" their mind than McCain supporters. Obama is consistently increasing his share of his toughest demographic (white males). And, what is not recognized, respondents consder Obama a stronger LEADER, than McCain. Yet Rove wants to portray Obama's standing as tenuous, just like David Gregory, Pat Buchanan, Joe Scarborogh, Chris Mathews, Stephenapolis, John King! They all have a lens constructed from the Rove playbook, which is unable to process contemporary information. Except for Chuck Todd, none of them attempt to think about or analyze feedback from the public but instead "cling" to Rove's "framework".

McCain is desperate; he is running out of his "Hail Mary" stunts, running out of ideas, and running out of time.
