Remember, there is a Republican majority on the committee that decides whether or not the report is published so at least 3 members of the GOP will have voted "yes" to publishing the report if that's what happens.

So, what if it's bad news for Palin? What does the McCain Campaign do?

Understand that if it's an unfavorable report it will add to the narrative that Palin was not properly vetted by the McCain Campaign.

So, what do you do? Does McCain have 1 "Hail Mary" left and does he drop Palin from the ticket in favor of Lieberman who, reports say, he wanted as his running mate in the first place?

But, if he does that, The Base, already not thrilled with McCain as the GOP nominee, will sit on their hands on November 4 without Palin on the ticket.

Here is what I find really amusing- Republicans are always talking about how government is more of a hinderance than a help, and that it gets in the way more than anything else. The Republican mantra is always "Less Government". So does anyone find it surprising that the people who tell you not to trust the government are the same ones who can't be trusted to run it? The really twisted part is that the people who believe that Government is inherently bad are the ones that vote the crooked Politicians into office! Its a self fulfilling prophecy- you put people into office who don't believe in government. They in turn fill their cabinet with the most innept people they can find (Michael Brown being placed in charge of FEMA), and then when the Government completely fails to do anything right, the Republicans can sit back and say, "See? I told you not to trust the Government." People need to realize that it isn't Government that is broken, its this particular PHILOSOPHY of governing. The Republican party has systematically destroyed America's faith in its Government, abused its powers (Troopergate), and completely ruined the free market economy.
