To make such horrible accusations of someone running for President by a fellow congressman instills not only a potential doubt for that candidate but the government overall. Well the campaign is a job interview withthe American people. If I were a grumpy ole candidate who blamed others for everything, made up lies to project blame on to others, offered no details of what I could do for my employer and brought along a dim witted sidekick who couldn't recall if she reads anything I wouldn't expect to get elected either.

The prospective employer would not employ someone who through their own misery would eventually make all the other workers a miserable lot. An employer would want to hire someone who has confidence in themselves without attacking others, who smiles a lot and who did not bring to the interview with them a half witted dunce who thinks she can perform the job duties required because she can see them from her back door.

Well, I cast my hiring decision today. Early voting opened this morning in Tennessee. There were about 100 ahead of me in line and by time I got in the door, that many behind me and they kept on coming. It was amazing. People crossing the parking lot on walkers, canes, in wheelchairs, carrying portable oxygen. These folks were determined to vote! I saw many whole families - mom, dad and the kids - lining up to take part in history.

I've been voting in presidential elections since '76, and to the best of my recollection I have to agree that the McCain campaign is the most scurrilous of any that I can recall. I actually was for McCain in 2000 and as we started the 2008 season he was my first choice. But all of McCain's lies and twisted attacks made me rethink things. So that, plus the obviously better grasp of the economy and energy that Obama has, made the choice simple. Obama/Biden in '08!

The Obama campaign has received small amounts from thousands of people. This is in the form of a pyramid (if you will grant me this example). This is the way we need to get back on track. Trish Bazek (and others): Does it occur to you how many similar "shocking names" we would be familiar with if Obama's campaign had taken the tack used by McCain, and before him Clinton, and been willing to drag up every unsavory or questionable connection or rumor from HIS opponent's past? The fact that the Clinton machine and the Republicans have only been able to drag out two or three connections (and those wildly exaggerated), out of all the 1000's that Obama or anyone active in politics would have, is absolutely astonishing - he must be the cleanest politician ever! Wake up and smell the coffee. Obama has taken a big risk: he's trusting the American people to understand that the issues matter and to not be misled by the seamy distractions his opponents can make up or drag out. I have to assume that you mean William Ayers. Mr. Ayers happens to have violently protested the Viet Nam war in the 60's. He is now a professor and respected member of the Chicago area, lives in Obama's neighborhood, played a role in an Annenberg Foundation initiative to improve the Chicago educational system that Obama was also amember, and one time he was invited by a third party to a fund raiser at Syers' home - the fundraiser was not for Obama.

As for the "black separatist rants of a Rev. Wright (while) calling him your mentor IS a bad thing. If you had investigated a little you would have found the reasons that Obama called Rev Wright his mentor and that Wright is NOT a black separatist. Not only that, but Obama has denounced Wright's infamous rants (and left Trinity Church).

While Rezko's purchase of the lot next to the house that Obama wanted to purchase allowed the purchase of the house to go through. If you'd done that, you'd see that the voter registration fraud was perpetrated against ACORN. By law ACORN is required to turn in ALL voter registrations they collect. ACORN pays people to get voter registrations. ACORN then verifies them and sends in all registrations, flagging the registrations that ACORN was unable to confirm.

In case you're unaware, the bulk of Obama's campaign money comes from ordinary citizens. Last time I checked, his average donation was less than $100 and the number of contributors was well over a million.
