So, in Florida, voting machines and voting ID data base matching machines, all of a sudden started to malfunction on the exact day early voting starts, even though they were working perfectly fine during testing. Does anyone else find this fishy? I think the machines either never were tested properly, or, someone is rigging them so they magically malfunction on the one day they need to perform perfectly...voting day. I sure hope many vote early, because we know now that Florida, and states that use machines like it, are going to mess this up really big. I mean, does the heat fry Florida's gov't officials' minds, or are they all just plain dumb and or corrupt? I say, cede Florida back to Spain...its more trouble than its worth.

Lots of early voting will be godd for Obama/Biden. I sure hope that those who would have to wait in line on Election Day get smart and vote early so they are sure to get their vote in. It sure looks like it's going good in the battleground states, far more than Mcnasty thought would be the case. Just more places for McNasty to spread his finite money while Obama can spread the wealth around and be competitive in places he wouldn't if he had made the mistake of taking taxpayer money.

Reports of long lines in early voting in Florida showed voters, including the elderly, standing on their feet waiting for up to 3 hours to vote.

This may be The Lord’s plan to prevent bigoted older Americans from voting. Will they simply remove themselves from the long lines when their strength gives out, due to a lack of physical stamina, and bladder control, etc.?

If The Lord intends to bless any of His servants, there is nothing that can prevent it.

It may be me but does it seem a bit maybe unethical to allow the candidates to campaign in these states that have early voting. I mean to have a rally and then tell them go vote for me is no different then letting poll workers were shirts, buttons, ect in the polling places.

I've been rooting for Gore in 2000, Kerry in 2004 but a majority of us Americans prefer things that are easy to the eyes and ears --- being wrapped and delivered nicely rather than using common sense to pick the right man for job... anyways, hope is alive and well for us then. McCain had been standing near the helm for quite a long time with a grand view of the things-gone-wrong/thing-gone-right from previous administrations. It's high time we elect him us POTUS to clean up the mess we're in.

Florida might really be going Obama's way. This past summer, I was visiting my dad and stepmom and she said while she she thought Obama was a very inspiring person, she couldn't vote for him because he would raise her taxes (unlike many people who complain about this, they actually are in the tax bracket that would be raised.)

I saw them here in MD over the weekend and they were heading back to FL Monday and planned to vote that same day - for Obama!

I never thought I'd see the day when my dad voted for a democrat, especially one who told him outright that he would raise his taxes. I started looking out the window to see if pigs were flying yet.

My dad said that sometimes you have to vote for the greater good - and he thought Obama would make the country better for his children and grandchildren.

The early voting numbers by party registration seem like dumb metrics to even talk about. And it also smacks of early exit polling, which I thought you guys didn't like to do.

The story should simply be that indicators are pointing to a potential huge turnout in general.

The swing counties polling is significant, and makes me question the accuracy of the statewide polls. It could be a case of the statewide numbers just being behind the more focused county-level polls.

OMG, what is wrong with people!! I just listened to McCain's angry tirade aka. "stump speech", and not once did he advice his supporters to be respectful. He said it once or twice last week and that's it. Obama has repeatedly stated this during his rallys.

Yesterday, I went and voted of course for Obama. I have been a Democrat all my life and I am married to a Republican unfortunately,ha! I encourage all the undecided voters out there to vote for Obama because he will lead this country in the right direction. Colin Powell said the most important thing about Obama on Sunday and that was that Obama was "transformational"! How powerful is that! That in itself should be enough for all of the undecided voters to cast their for Obama. Obama has remained this entire campaign even, controlled, steadfast, strong and surrounded himself with great people in his inner circle that just proves even more why he would make a great President.

I'm a first time voter, who voted early in TN on yesterday. Everyone was so nice. I'm glad I voted early, because Lord knows what will happen on election
day. McCain's comments appear to have undertones that

All these numbers sound good for the Democratic ticket. However, I didn't think that the votes were being counted at this time since the election date is Nov. 4. If that is indeed the case, no one knows what the actual count is because the registration only tells the political party not the actual vote.

I believe the enthusiasm shown by early voters is based on the fact that people are tired of the last 8 years and want change. I am sure most of the early voters are voting overwhelmingly for Obama. The tenor of the McCain campaign is so negative and devisive that while it may placate their base, does nothing to motivate their voters to robustly support their ticket. The more negative they become the more Obama supporters are driven to vote if nothing else to shut them up.
