I actually listened to McCain's speech and could not get over the blantant misinformation he was spewing to the public. He took words out of context and twisted them around and with the use of his air quotes made it sound so scary. I wanted to stand next to him and counteract each of his statements with the truth.

What I did not hear was anything about his plan. He wants to tax our healthcare benefits, give tax breaks to the wealthy, and offers nothing but "opportunity" to the less fortunate. I would like to see how far we get paying our mortgages, bills, food, and gas with opportunity.

The majority of us make less than $250,000, so we benefit more under an Obama plan. McCain is for big business. He does not have to worry how he is going to put food on the table, where he will sleep, or how his bills will get paid. It seems he just doesn't want to pay more taxes, which he would have to do under an Obama plan.

Americans are smarter than McCain thinks. If you think you are better off than you were 8 years ago, vote for McCain, because that is what you will get 4 more years of the same. But if you want to move forward into the 21st century and bring change to Washington that we truly need, vote Obama/Biden.

I'm tired of hearing the "earned it" quote over and over. My 8 hours of work is worth the same as your 8 hours and I am sick and tired of people trying to tell me that someone who works 8 hours a day digging ditches and working their !@#$'s off is somehow a slacker who works less than those who sit at a desk working 8 hours a day drinking their Starbucks while they try and figure out how they will spend their next bonus.

No I'm not advocating socialism, communism or any other "spead the wealth" type ideals but who sets the bar when it comes to worth? Who decides what kinds of jobs are worth more than others?

It's not education because some of the most educated people make little $$$ so when people talk about distributing wealth from those who earn it to those who do not.... who are they talking about because I see hard working people who make $30,000 a year who work twice as hard as those making six figures.

But to teach them a little about what it means to strive for the common good and to achieve a sense of community in this country (without entering into full-fledged socialism) lets remove the Secret Service protection from Mccain and Palin. Let's have all police who escort their motrocades disappear. Let's tell all ambulances and paramedics to stand down if one or the other is in a wreck or in need of immediate medcical care. Let's turn off all traffic lights and shut down the public water and electric systems in this country. Let's cancel all programs to help children with special needs, veterans and the elderly. Let's tell prison guards to take a vacation and allow prisoners to wlak out the front gates of their prisons. Let's privatize social security and eliminate medicare. And if Palin or McCain ever get to the point where they have to live like your average American let's remove their access to public defenders if they ever need an attorney. And how about teling pur military personnel they can leave the service because we no longer believe in coming together to defend our country. And no longer will the lower ranks of the military be filled with a majority of poor and middle class kids who can't find jobs in this country. And we might as well just tell everyone not to pay their Local, State and Federal taxes any longer because by God we are not a socialist country.

Obama is for cooperation and cohesiveness to keep this country stroong and to maintain its status as a world power.
