I am curious; does everyone feel we have lunatics running around hell bent on destroying the Dems and Barack, or worse? This is the worst political divide I have ever seen in our country. The venom, hate and vile that is coming out of too many McCain supporters is scary. The number of these ‘whackos’ is increasing. All of the rabble rousers should be held accountable for any and all acts of violence that may ensue; i.e. Limbaugh, Colter, Savage, O’Reilley, Hannity, Hedgecock, Fox News, etc. Most of all McCain and Palin need to be held accountable for any violence that ensues. They could have stopped this.

I’ve been catching myself watching the McPalin rallies with my mouth hanging open in astonishment. Who are these people chanting “I am Joe?” Wake up! There is no Joe! Just a guy who made up a story about himself that isn’t true. He only made about 40K last year and the business he might someday think about buying clears more like 100K. Of course if you try to let facts get in the way of a good story, you will be accused of “attacking Joe.”

The signs read: “Obama Wants to take Joe’s Dough.” No, actually Obama is trying to give Joe a tax cut. Joe is just too friggin’ dense to figure out who is really on his side and who is using him to further their own interests. A more appropriate chant for these folks would be “I am Slow!”

There have been numerous reports of voting machine errors. I’ve heard that in some areas of Georgia and Florida if you vote a straight democratic ticket and punch both your vote for Obama and then a straight ticket your vote for Obama switches to McCain.

Because of much reported uncertainties connected with electronic voting machines, I urge everyone to do the following:

Once you have cast your ballots and your voting summary appears on the machine screen, place your voter ID card on the screen and take a picture, with your cell phone camera, of the your voting summary with your ID card. By doing this you will have proof that you voted and who you voted for. The picture on your cell phone will be your receipt.

PLEASE, take this seriously, the GOP is hard at work trying to suppress the vote and they are actively seeking ways to suppress the turnout.

Many states do not have a voting machine paper trail; consequently we must make our own paper trail! BRING YOUR CELL PHONE WITH YOU!

The GOP can’t win running on the issues so they will resort to the dishonest, dishonorable and down right low tactics to suppress voter turnout. This Country needs a change of epic proportions and to my way of thinking that change will come about with an OBAMA/BIDEN administration.

I believe it’s time to elect a president who is extremely intelligent, who possess great wisdom, who is honest, who has a steady hand, and who has the temperament to lead our Country back to leader of the free world status, and most importantly a leader who will bring back the middle class and restore our economy… that leader is Sen. Mason Dixon polls seem to be showing tighter races than others state by state, and also show higher numbers of undecided.

Sounds to me like they aren't asking the follow-up to the "I don't know" answer, to determine which way the undecideds are leaning.

At this point, the key is looking at states in which Obama or McCain are over 50 percent. I think switching a preference at this point would be really difficult for either campaign.

In the states where no one is above 50, both candidates are at the mercy of the breaking undecideds, and then its a contest of ground organization - GOTV.

That said, its troubling that Mason Dixon has Obama under 50 in Pennsylvania. I think they are the only pollsters who do, but still...

The good news is Obama is still holding a lead there outside the margin, and the other good news there is Obama doesn't need Pennsylvania to get to 270. Though losing those 21 electors takes a lot of flexibility out of the map, and puts Obama in the same position as McCain - sweating out each toss-up state.

That is, unless Obama can pull off Florida or Ohio. Then he's back to cruising through election night.

Chuck, when you refer to the Obama campaign potentially seeing Florida as a "backbreaker" it's unclear whose back you (or they) think would be broken. It will also be interesting to see what the internals are given the fact it is so different from ALL of the other PA polls (even Republican-leaning Rasmussen has Obama + 7).

Yes, the rallies are both on either end of the spectrum when it comes to the way people dress, what they chant, etc. The ONE glaring thing that sticks out is the fact that at Obama and Biden's rallies there ARE people of different color and nationalities at their events but all you see at McCain and Palin's are people that look exactly like them.
Don't get me wrong, in the end, we are ALL Americans but it seems kind of strange that very few people of color are standing behind those two which in and of itself is scary at best.
If McCain thinks that race is not going to be a major factor in at least one (maybe 2) states or more, then he's sadly mistaken.
For some reason there are some whites who believe that if (when)Obama wins their way of life will be obliterated. They think that he will turn this country into a 3rd world country (like Kenya or something) because he's black. They also think that he will do away with the military and congress and just turn it into a dictatorship. That's fear people, loud, clear and definitely in your face.
In this country, why they honestly think that it would happen is beyond me.
WE are Americans and there is no way in h e l l that WE would allow it to happen or even go down like that for ANYONE.
I'm sure you've seen Independence Day with Will Smith right? Remember how everyone was looking to the Americans to "figure it out" and save the day? We need that again. Remember how we ALL had that fighting spirit that WE weren't going to let anyone take over us without a fight.

Rather than watch his infomercial, I would be interested in seeing that tape the LA Times has of him at the Khalidi dinner. You know, the one where Obama toasts the former spokesman of the PLO; the one where Obama smiles and claps when there are calls for the destruction of Israel; you know, the tribute to the man Obama barely know, but with whom he left his daughters while he and Michelle were out of town. Does that make him a liar, or a bad father?

We'd better hope these polls are wrong, that the weighting is optimistic at best and seriously flawed at worst. Obama is dangerous for our nation, and the equivalent of a nuclear warhead aimed at Israel.

But I'll respond to your observation: the money he spent was donated to him by the millions of Americans who believe in his cause, who KNOW that an Obama presidency will do so much more for the "hungry, homeless, and unemployed" you mentioned than McCain ever will. So that money was not "spent", it was "invested" in a more prosperous future for ALL Americans.

Pick up a copy of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Read the first lines of the Declaration of Independence, the part that says we are all created equal. Or read the 14th Amendment of the Constitution, the one that says we all deserve equal protection of under the law, both native born and not native born Americans.

The Constitution offers "Equality of Opportunity" to all Americans. The current tax structure does not allow for that. Reorganizing the tax structure is not "Spreading the Wealth", it is return "Equality of Opportunity".

Jack, I'm sure by law Obama is NOT allowed to use the money that he collected for campaigning is go toward any of the causes that you listed. It would be illegal to take funds for such and then divert them to other things such as that.
But you know I guess it's not hypocritic to purchase closes for $150K at Nieman Marcus and Macy's for the "middle class down to earth hockey mom" when she could have very well gone to JCPenny/Sears and gotten the same nice looking clothes for a fraction of the cost either huh?

Quite frankly, with the help of the most biased, liberal, left-leaning media I have ever seen in my 50+ years, I really believe that Barack Obama could strangle a puppy on live television, and he would somehow be defended.

It's a sad day in America when, no matter who you support, one candidate is protected and ultimately "endorsed" by the media. I know you young people don't understand this, but the "media" and "journalism" died this election year. It did us all a disservice by not remaining neutral and just reporting the "facts."

Pennsylvania is starting to SCARE me, as an Obama supporter!! I am getting a bad feeling that it will be the "Florida" of 2008 because McCain has always said that he sees "something" there and thinks he can win it, despite the fact that until recently, the polls were heavily in Obama's favor.
