Hastings is a felon, was IMPEACHED and REMOVED from a FEDERAL JUDGESHIP! This is a leader in the Democratic Party? Maybe in the fantasy party of Rev Jesse Jackson, Jacko and Rev Al; but Hastings does not represent the majority of hard working African Americans who have to toil weekly for honest pay.

The Incoming Majority

It's sad to see how out-of-touch with the public the Congressional Black Caucus has become. They are so bent on gaining and keeping power in congress, that they're willing to overlook ethical violations from their members. Gee, that sounds like the Republican party doesn't it? Will someone please tell them that being black should not result in a free pass for ethical violations? The Democratic party had better thank its lucky stars that Nancy has the guts to stand up to them (even if she can't quite stand up to the remaining liberals--I mean what was she thinking about with Murtha?)

The Incoming Majority

I agree with Edward re: Hastings. If the Black Caucus is going to support a candidate, then they need to support a viable one. It would not matter what color Hastings is; the Dems voted against Murtha due to him being perceived as "ethically challenged". However, I believe Nancy had to pay back the favor to Murtha for his prior support for Minority Leader. Her error was campaigning as hard for him as she did. It seems she learned that lesson.

The Incoming Majority

The lesson here is, "Never put ninety grand in the freezer...put it in the dirty clothes hamper."

The Incoming Majority

Hasty Hastings is Pudding and Pelosi is Hot Porridge Cold...both molding in the pot now only a few days old.
