Because in truth, Fox News never advanced the ACORN story one inch. It never broke any news. It never contributing anything journalistically to the story. Meaning, news organizations never (I don't think) had to cite Fox News for anything regarding its ACORN coverage. And its reporting certainly had no impact on the overall campaign.

Fox News couldn't stop talking about ACORN, and yet Fox News never managed to uncovering anything newsworthy about ACORN. It just rehashed and speculated, rehashed and speculated.

Still, Hume boasts FNC had a "great run" on the story. Why, because it filled up endless hours of Fox News programming? Is that how Hume determines a Fox News success?"
**********************
This pretty much sums up what success means to Fox Propaganda. There is no point in trying to look for a shred of integrity with these people. There is none. There never was.

Roger Ailes & Rupert Murdock, I hope you’re real proud of the product and message you sold to the American people. You’re the laughingstock of the country. Good. It’s well deserved.

Just so you know, we the American people are going to continue to do our part to see to it that you continue on your ratings decline. We have MSNBC, which is where you’ll find Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews, David Shuster, Chuck Todd, Mark Murray, Richard Wolffe, Lawrence O'Donnell, Howard Fineman, Jonathan Alter, et al. The real professionals. And it shows. They all did a tremendous job this year. Everyone I have spoken with are so proud to see how far MSNBC has come in just one year. It’s like a dream come true for us, the viewers. Other than the election, MSNBC’s rise is the biggest story of the year in our opinion. And we’re going to see to it that their success continues. And continue to call you people out on your stupidity and lies. Of that you can be sure.

2008 in the end will have turned out to be a very good year for each and every American who cares deeply about our country AND our reputation around the globe.

The biggest losers: Fox Propaganda & Rush Limbaugh & Karl Rove & Tom Delay & Newt Gingrich & Ann Coulter & Sean Hannity & Bill O’Reilly & Laura Ingraham & Michelle Malkin & Mary Matalin & Fred Barnes & Bill Kristol & Chas. Krauthammer & Madam Palin as well as every single ridiculous right winger you see on Fox Propaganda and hear on right wing talk radio.

And for this, we will all have something to celebrate on New Years Eve. The media just likes the drama because it attracts people to watch them, a blowout is just plain boring.

While McCain may be closing in some polls and may pull off a win in one or two battlegrounds it won't be enough to pull the upset off.

First thoughts: The witching hour

Imagine McCain as president, with democrats in control of the house and senate. You think the government is dysfuntional now?

First thoughts: The witching hour

Halloween Surprise! Yesterday an African American community leader stated that Obama is not BLACK. He is half white and has NO Slave Blood in him. So if people think getting him elected will end the black oppression struggle and conversations, they are sadly mistaken. White people who think electing Barack will end this once and for all are sadly mistaken. So if you think you are voting to ease your guilt, think again. This really struck me as odd. Who are the real racists in America? Why are people pointing at the Republicans, the party that abolished slavery? If the feeling is Obama is not really black, why the belief that they would support him? Because of the color of his skin. People are so lost in that. John Kerry, Al Gore, John Dean, Barney Frank are all viewed by conservatives the same as Obama. Not by skin color, which obviously has no part to play in this election. Can’t the name calling stop? Why would there be a race riot if Obama does not win, if leaders feel his not black? Sadly, FR filled with HATERS.

First thoughts: The witching hour

Imagine.

Imagine an America where our young men and women are not returning home in caskets because of unnecessary war that feeds a presidential ego. ...............

Imagine where the young men and women won't be returning home cause their being killed here, by terrorist
----------------------------------------------------
Imagine an America more safe because American respect for international law leads to global consensus to deny safe haven for those with a compulsive disdain for America and her leadership. ...............

Imagine a America on her knees because a President wants to be popular and the world to like him

--------------------------------------------------
Imagine an America where laborers return home from a good day’s work with confidence that their labor has been sufficient to meet their family’s financial requirements. .......................

Imagine the illegals coming home from taking another Americans job, and watch as more jobs are sent overseas
-------------------------------------------------
Imagine an America where education opportunities are limited only by a student’s ability, interest and imagination. ..........................

There for this one because that is where we are now !!!!!
---------------------------------------------------
Imagine an America where medical care is based on medical need and not the scheming of those with only greed and no regard for human health and human life.

Imagine the socialist coutry this will be, where the hard work of the middle class goes to support those who refuse to work, those that are here illegally.
Imagine a President Obama.
First thoughts: The witching hour

T. Washington DC doesn't run the country, no matter who is there. Big business runs the country. Always has, always will. Sure the Democrats have their little show trials like the oil execs being called to testify to why all of them raised their prices at the same time (funny how they are not called when they all reduce their prices at the same time). The lame minded liberals think this stuff is important. But all it is is the Democrats putting on a show for the masses. Then they go back to their offices and cash the check from the Big Businesses, and then go golfing in St. Thomas.

First thoughts: The witching hour

[Meanwhile, Arnold Schwarzenegger -- remember him?]

Yeah, he's the guy that has talent when compared to Obama, Gore, Clinton, etc.
A. Now after elevating everyone up into believing his hype he is bringing them down to the real world. Does Obama ever keep his word? First he changes his mind on accepting public financing, then he changes his position on NAFTA, and now he is booting papers off his plane if they support McCain which doesn't seem to show much "reaching across the aisle" and bringing the country together. And of course he is now taking away the "hope and change" that his campaign has been about for the last 2 years and saying that it may not happen like he made everyone believe. This guy is all hype and no substance. And in 1 to 2 years you will regret electing him president (after he raises middle class taxes).

First thoughts: The witching hour

Where's the coverage of the Obama campaign kicking three news organizations, (that happened to endorse McCain) off their plane?

In an Obama administration, the press will be intimidated into only telling Sunshine stories about 'the one'-

but you like being Pravda, don't you? After all, the Messiah will make the birds sing, the grass grow, . . .

First thoughts: The witching hour

*Pat, Boston, MA*

------------------------------------------------

Yeah, and MSNBC/NBC are not the laughing stock of the country?? Ah! Have you watched keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews during this campaing? Where have you been? Just because Fox doesn't "seat well" with your choice your're right down insulting them. Pleaaaasseee, give me a break! I used to be a fan of Matthews but his bias is so repugnant I can't even look at him without getting sick...(Olbermann I always hated) Stop demonizing Fox. First look at NBC/MSNBC and then talk....

And I bet you guys at FR won't post this....oh well...

First thoughts: The witching hour

I echo most of the messages this morning. I always start my day with First Read, especially since I can't bear to watch MSNBC before 9:00 a.m. every morning, when Whining Joe and Mika are on. When will Joe learn to keep his mouth shut a little more? I love Chris Matthews, Keith, Chuck, David Shuster, and Rachel "kicked butt" with her interview of Obama last night. You go, girl! Can't wait to watch next Wed. morning, though. I'm one of those addicted to politics this election year.

From an Obama grandmama

First thoughts: The witching hour

Do you think Palin will fade away quickly after next Tuesday?
*************************************************************
No, I don't think any mother who will pull her children out of school for several months, so she can use them as political props while she campaigns, is planning on fading away...ever.....

First thoughts: The witching hour

Obama will destroy the USA. Bush has had the unenviable job cleaning up Clinton's policies of the 90s. Spread the wealth? How f'kd up is that? Giving to others, what other hardworking Americans earned themselves? How does destroying others benefit the nation? Taxing only the wealthy? Wealthy will drive up the costs of the goods and services they produce, then everybody pays more. Facto, reduce the burden on all Americans, everyone benefits. For me, I will be so glad when this election is over. I feel almost sick to my stomach when I think that McCain might win.

As far as intimidating voters goes, it's a little more difficult to do when your ballots are mailed as all ballots are in Oregon. I don't think that I would like the voting machines that are in some states after hearing about the "glitches" that have been happening. Of course, one can't believe everything they hear on the news or read on line or in the newspaper. Just look at what some are saying about Obama--a lot of nasty stuff.

Now and then some posts are really thoughtful and don't call other blogers names. Those are really appreciated. Just as nasty attacks by the McCain camp turn me off, so do the nasty personal attacks by some blogers, whether they come from Republicans or Democrats. That said, have a nice day First Read.
