I voted in DC this morning……
I got to the polls at 6:30 - a 1/2 hour before they opened, and there were already about 100 people in front of me…I waited for an hour and a half to vote…IN DC!!! I never have to wait that long!!! And when I was done, the line to get into the building was STILL around the block!!!

I smell CHANGE!!!!

We had three first voters in our family this morning.

My son, and I were first in line at 6:oo am. I was numbered as first, but he finished casting his vote before me. (My machine was having problems, so I had to use another). So we were both first.

My daughter, who lives in Obama's neighborhood voted first. She arrived at the poll at 5:oo, and was the first in line. She said the cameras were set up to catch Obama casting his vote at 8:00.

How exciting is that?

Martin Luther King. JFK/Geo. Wallace. Harry Truman & his President’s Committee on Civil Rights/he ends segregation in the armed forces. The freedom riders. The list is endless.

I proudly voted for Barack this morning here in southwest Pennsylvania. Interestingly the voting machines in this suburb of Pittsburgh (historically Republican, turning Democrat) had been malfunctioning and one wasn't working at all. There were 2 independent monitors there who were all over this & were calling in assistance. Never thought I would see this in my own neighborhood.
Steelers did their part last night by beating the Redskins--so now everyone else has to go VOTE!!

am i the only one who feels that the ad war in this campaign was over the top? shouldn't we hold our politicians to honest evaluations, and not whatever smear they can come up with?

This campaign highlighted the need to redefine our election processes, and make the candidates speak about issues, policies, and visions for the future, not "my opponent did this, my opponent did that".

i've heard more intelligence from my 8 and 11 year olds during this campaign, and that is a scary thought...

This election year has been a roller coaster ride and I have really enjoyed MSNBC, including Pat B. and Joe Scarborough (LOL).

This blog has provided an outlet to the daily madness and my fellow bloggers have made this election very memorable..there are so many I can't name everyone!

No matter how this election turns out (let me retract) hopefully Obama wins, MSNBC has won this viewer and my family across the US for life.

I early voted on the 25th of October. I got to the poll an hour before the doors opened and the line was wrapped around the building and touched the street. All in all, I had to wait 2 1/2 hours to vote...It's worth it...I'd rather spend a few hours in line to cast my vote than four more years of being in the "bushes".

I voted in a small town in NH when polls opened at 8 a.m. The line was already out the building and the parking lot was full. My town has a population of less than 8k; this is a grand showing of Democracy in action.
