You know, maybe we do need a change. I'll bet Obama could have come up with inviting the new guys to meetings with just a couple top Pentagon leaders, thereby creating a savings of at least 22 of them.

Am I the only one at least a little disconcerted by the 215 political appointees? 215 people in positions of at least some concern who were not elected but rather appointed on the basis of political cronyism, really? Am I alone in my interest as to just what 215 "loyal bushies" have been up to for the last 4-8 years? And they must be "loyal bushies" because they are political appointments granted position by a leader who has clearly shown that he prefers loyalty to competance, and if they weren't "loyal bushies" they would have been dropped by now. Now, maybe 215 is about par for the course in terms of the number of political appointments an administration is expected to make, I don't know; but the thought of 215 Monica Goodlings (google her) running around with minimal accountablity and oversight certainly gives at least myself pause.

Obama doesn't need any briefings from them. Remember, he basically told Petraeus to stick it. And, he's ending the wars, drawing down the military, no space development, etc. So, we don't need to worry about that kind of stuff.
