When together with my 8 siblings & dozens of cousins were kicked out of the house to "go out and play" while visiting our relatives in the Back Bay when we were just kids, we would come home at nite and tell our parents that we spent the day climbing fire escapes up to the roofs trying to find the Boston Strangler (at the time he had strangled someone across the street from one of my cousin's house).

The response from our supposedly adult parents and aunts and uncles? It's time for the left and right to tone it done and let the center rule. They have for too long perpetuated myths about the economy and social fabric of America to our detriment. Obama can and may lead from the Center which by the numbers over the past 20 years is where we need to be. Lieberman is pragmatic and those are the kind of leaders we need. I voted and my guy lost, however, this is a time to move forward and not look back. The American Voter has made History again please let us not let the Partisan Politics of the Last Several Year Continue. Please, let us show the world that We can come together right now, and move forward. Joe The American should be proud of what we have accomplished in our short History let us see where we can go now. Please get rid of the bitterness and let us all move forward for the good of our Country. Barak Obama will be this Nations 44 President thus he will be my president for the next 4 Years and then we will all see. Maybe he will even earn my vote. He almost won it this time. He ran as an Independent when lost the democratic primary. He publically backed McCain and therefore a vice president contender who not only claimed to be able to see Russia from her kitchen window (a distance of approximately 750 miles) but declared she would, as vice president, help Congress write legislation. Not only should he be ignored as a lame duck senator, but should seriously think about moving to Alaska.

Lieberman congratulates Obama

With friends like you, Lieberman, who needs enemies? Joe Lieberman is a thoughtful, intelligent, and above all, honest public servant. Many of the people savaging him on this page seem to forget that he was abandoned by his own party because he didn't embrace the consensus Democratic view opposing the war in Iraq. You can argue that his position was wrong, but it was honestly held. Joe Lieberman supported McCain because he is a close friend and honestly believed that he was better suited to the job of President. Wouldn't it be nice if more politicians occassionally set aside party labels to support candidates and positions they felt were more qualified? This to me is the essence of someone who can be truly bipartisan, which is what we need more of. Indeed, this idea has been a major plank of Senator Obama's campaign, so why attack Lieberman for practicing it?

Lieberman congratulates Obama

Lieberman's an opportunistic worm. However he is dealt with, nobody should trust him.

Lieberman congratulates Obama

too late Joe! you must leave the democratic party!
you are traitor and I regret that I supported you during Mr. Gore's campaign for President!

Just keep your friendship with Mr. McCain who will probably retire in 2 years when is time for his re-election!
Lieberman congratulates Obama

I agree with the description of Liebermann as a traitor to his party. Strip him of chairmanship duties. Let him votes as he wishes. With the new majority that the Dems have, they don't really need him. If he decides to complete the turncoat action and join the Republican party there is no way that he will be elected in CT when his term runs out. He only won last time because of the three way race and Republicans who wanted to be "spoilers" . Hang him out to dry !

Lieberman congratulates Obama

I always see Lieberman as a lucky charm. He was useless to GORE in 2000 and at least he pays us back by joining McCain. He is going to get the boots in the Senate in next election (Mark my words) and his name will go in the garbage can of history.
Thanks again Joe for returning the favor for letting us identifying the LOOSERS CAMP way in advance. I told my wife back in August that If McCain selected Joe Lieberman as his VP, this time the DEMOCRATS are going to win in a recount in Florida again so things can turn full circle on a man who represents BAD LUCK to anybody who associates with him...GOT IT McCain THE LOOSER? Your problem was never Sarah Palin, but JOE Lieberman. At least you saved the country the cost of a recount in FLORIDA, and I want to thank you for helping the Florida taxpayers.
The Ultimate list of loosers: McCain THE where is JOE, Palin THE here is JOE, Lieberman THE I AM JOE, Sean Hannity THE always late Joe, Rush Limbaugh THE all is about JOE, TODD the "hopefully Sarah treats me like JOE", Wurzelbacher THE “from plumber to celebrity to plumber again JOE”. Hopefully he shows up in time in his next assignment, wishing him well to buy his boss business if he is not fired for lateness.
The Republicans will stay away from the JOE’s forever.
Lieberman congratulates Obama

Say it is so Joe. It's people like you who make American look bad. Good away, far far away.

Lieberman congratulates Obama

Give old Joe a big RED "R" on a chain to hang around his neck, he's a trator! A person can not like Joe Lieberman for reasons completely unrelated to his faith. I can assure you many practicing Jews aren't fans of Lieberman. And many nominal Jews (Jon Stewart) hold him in very low regard.

Most people who are upset with Lieberman believe Joe only cares about Joe (and Hadassah). When he lost the Democratic primary, he ran as a 3rd party candidate. In late 2007 after he endorsed McCain, he was asked why, and in a moment of candor he let it slip, none of the Democratic candidates asked for his support. It was about Joe. It's always been about Joe. Our shared religion has nothing to do with why I don't respect Lieberman, and your assumption that others criticize Lieberman because he's Jewish, when not one post had a single anti-semitic comment reveals more about you.

Lieberman congratulates Obama

Maria in Middletown CT. It sounds like you voted for Joe in 2006 AFTER he became an independent. Say it isnt so Maria...If you did, then you and the other mislead voters of CT only helped this man in his treacherous and traitorous way. I was proud to have voted against him in his Senate re-election. And now, prouder than ever to live in Massachusetts where a Republican is hard to find.

STRIP JOE OF HIS CHAIRMANSHIP AND LET HIM STEW IN HIS OWN LACK OF POWER. HE DESERVES NOTHING BETTER!
