Sarah Palin's politcal future is over. She may will finish her term as Governor of Alaska or may even end up with Stevens Senate seat. But she will not go any further in politics. She may still remain a bit popular with a very small number of the republican base but those who run the republican party and others wanting to lead the republican party in the future (Romney, Huckabee, Patawkey, Gingrich and others)will publically kindly dismiss her while privately making sure she goes back permanently to where she can see Russia from her back door. in an earlier post someone said Obama doesn't 'owe anyone'. I take issue with that. I donated roughly $1200. I was really hoping he would address that pothole in front of my house. Okay, bad humor; but for those who've been posting here for over six months, it should at least make you laugh.

I'm actually pretty tired of the speculation game. Obama is doing exactly what he said he would do which was UNDO all of the constitutionally questionable shenanigans Bush/Cheney pulled with half of the bills they signed. Executive Orders and Signing Statements were a bunch of crap - and we all know it. What I am hoping, on some level, is that by 'undoing the crap' we end up with the grounds we've needed to bring Bush/Cheney up on abuse of power charges. Now THAT would be true 'justice'.

And her inability to speak extemporaneously on matters of domestic or foreign policy is frightening. Every time she went off script during a stump speech or interview, the McCain campaign had to go into damage control mode.

First of all, McCain betrayed American when he selected her; second, she should have turned down the offer. She is not qualified to be governor let alone vice president. It's amazing to me when republicans blame democrats for trying to destroy Sarah Palin, when in fact republicans are the ones throwing her under the bus. How could she not know that Africa was a continent?? The amounts and extent of what she doesn't know is alarming in the extreme and she wants to run again! Is she kidding me!! Another example of do as I say, not what I do. It's very sad to see so many people in denial. The worst is that republicans will gleefully detroy their own candidates so what do you think they'll do the rest of us. Talk about scary! Is Holloween over???

Exactly why is it that everything this woman does is somehow the fault of the media or the Democrats? The Democrats aren't the ones who are throwing her under the bus with annonymous stories about her spending habits, or her relationship with John McCain (such as it was). If she really wants to endear herself to the public, she should start by taking some personal responsibility, and her supporters should also get it into their heads that the REPUBLICANS are the ones who want her gone because they know that she will ultimately do more harm to the party.

Besides, I want her to stay in the limelight. The more she talks, the more her ignorance shows and the bigger laughs she gets.

Everybody out there who is foaming at the mouth about hatred of women and sexism needs to take a few deep breaths and understand the following...

- Hillary Clinton lost because her campaign was mismanaged and was not prepared for the nomination to be contested beyond Super Tuesday.

- John McCain lost because his campaign was also mismanaged and couldn't come up with a coherent message or an original idea. Instead, they tried to gimmick you with Governor Palin and it seems they never took the time to properly vet her or prepare her for what was to come.

My question to you now is where is your hatred of the GOP elite that can't seem to find enough buses under which to throw her?

It covers Obama, McCain/Palin, and Clinton. I found myself to be even more grateful that Obama is now the President of this country. The information provided by the article is astonishing. Clinton seemed disinterested, McCain like a spoiled child, and Obama like an intelligent man running for the highest office in the land. The MOST QUALIFIED PERSON WON, be grateful!!!!

I know that I know, that I know, that I know, that if Palin runs in 2012 it will be another easy win for Obama, so let Palin run in 2012, America needs at least an 8 year break from the republicans. I wonder if the GOP will purchase for Palin another $150,000 wardrobe for her first public post-election speech? Todd probably needs some more new silk boxer shorts by now, too. I wonder if the republicans really think Palin possesses an ounce of intelligence or that she's truly a credible candidate just because Alaska was clueless enough to vote for her as Governor of Alaska?? Does anyone really not see Alaska's penchant to vote for convicted felons and other people with questionable backgrounds??? Then Newt Gingrich reduces her to a quivering mass of spit on the floor by enunciating one gramatically correct sentence. It will be interesting to see how the "old boys club" reacts to her now that the election is over. Since it seems that Gingrich is and has been positioning himself for a run for the 2012 GOP nomination, I somehow do not think Governor Palin will any longer be "qualified" to represent the party nationally.

The simple realization that we came so close to having such an ungualified, divisive, viewless and polarizing first female vice president truly frieghtened me! WOW...you couldn't imagine the nights I laid awake as a first time voter, the mother of four precious sons; thinking about John Mccains age, his health and his faultering judgement(just for choosing her)--someone so NOT QUALIFIED to partner him in running OUR country...thier were many of those nights and many discussions back and forth between my republican friends and myself(as I registered this year under dem. so so anxious to cast my BIG vote for this great leader that turned me onto the political process and my part in it...I spent most of my free time trying to convince everyone of Barack Obama's ability, and by the end of oct. I had brought over 22 of my friends over to my way of thinking! Well, I didnt have the power to do it really...so the President elect won them over! Boy are we proud of him and proud of our fellow Americans--(not fellow prisoners John Mccain?) lol Anyway, this ordeal with Sarah Palin isn't as much her doing as it is the Mccain campaigns for choosing someone so hastly and undeliberate, so to blame her for not being educated enough or worldly enough (after throwing her into a national "POWERFUL" political race) and then for staffers to come out saying all this now really speaks to the campaign members who were obvoiusly not putting country first and not listening to their candidates desire on the matter...sure shows that Sen. Mccain would not have been the leader and independent thinker everyone claimed he was....look to his pick of v.p. and look to who he wanted and you'll see very clearly what my fellow americans and I saw....and that was one obvious choice "OUR NEW PRESIDENT ELECT-History making giant BARACK OBAMA" Oh by the way msnbc has lead the way after the excitement was spread the cold day when Pres. Obama announced his candidacy run...and he shocked the world by winning Iowa beating the clinton shoe in! So since Jan. I have tuned in every single day all through out the day when not tending to the children in hopes of taking in and staying informed on every aspect of this election being a 33 year old woman from Kentucky, a white suburban "Basketball & Baseball mom" someone who has never had an african American friend and have seldom even seen a diverse community--only when traveling--so this is an amazing year and msnbc did a fantastic job leaving me hooked for life and ready to learn as much as I can about this nation and our demeocracy even though US history was not my favorite subject in highschool...it was at the bottom quiet frankly! Thanks Chuck, Joe, Meeka, Chris, Keith, Dan, Andrea, Tom, Rachel, David G., and David V.,--as well as the great pundants that got it wrong so often this election year (just as many did)--also, a special thanks to Chris and Keith, such amazing American men! So in touch with this nation and our lives as we try to find common ground..I've woke up with Joe, Meeka, (and willie) every morning and I end my long day of mothering and household managing with Chris, Keith, and our newest STAR rachel---WOW what a brillant woman (journalist and host!) Shes a keeper so let her reign be a long long long one!
