Mr. Coleman, I regret that I was unable to burn the absentee ballots, because that is illegal. Fortunately, hiding and disqualifing ballots is not. But, alas, the voting officials are being a nuisance and keep discovering them. However, I have not yet given up on trying to have Democratic votes omitted from being counted. Trust me, I am doing my best, in which the RNC does best...to deceive.

I am following it pretty closely and Franken has never attempted to stop the recount. However Coleman has done 120 attorney's worth of suppression. All of the statistical data points to a recount that determines VOTER INTENT (by MN state by laws) will favor the Democrat, as those districts tend to use non standard methods of marking the ballot - often using an 'x' instead of filling in the oval - or circling the candidate of choice or crossing off the 'non choice'. Apparently MN has pretty clear cut rules on how to determine 'voter intent'.

Interesting that Coleman's committee position is already being salivated over by a peer. Don't let the corpse get cold before you pick it over. Republicans are funny. And MO certified today - a difference of 4,300 votes - to McCain. UGH!

I am trying to figure out whether we do a recount, too. I know there were still issues with various provisional ballots due to the election books going to the wrong locations. Silly; but I want to live in a Blue state, without having to uproot my family - love my home, love my kids' school, my job. etc.

Uhm, this is incorrect. The only one trying, and failing, to stop the recount in Minnesota was Norm Coleman.

Thank god (and Minnesota legislators) for a paper trail that can actually be followed. At least they have something physical to argue over. As a Canuck I can only watch the American elections vicariously but watch I do as it is much more entertaining than ours (started after, finished first, not much changed, oh yeah... a paper trail, my guy won by 61 votes). I'm cheering for Al; Coleman's ads seemed designed to convince people that the butcher running for town council was no different than the entrails he used to make sausage. Good luck Minnesota!

Coleman has not been named the winner of anything. And as for the canvass finding more votes for Franken than for Coleman, it only makes sense. Votes will tend to be misplaced in situations where there are more votes to deal with. Those will be from more urban areas, e.g. areas that would more likely support Al Franken than Norm Coleman. There has been no indication of any wrongdoing by the Franken campaign and it is highly disingenuous of the Republican Party to make statements to that effect. In addition, why are they only concerned about election fraud now? Where were they in Florida 2000 or Ohio 2004?
