I think Lieberman being there will be a problem for Obama. I don't trust the guy. He's to "maybe I'm a democrat, maybe not", for me. Oh yeah, what about that apology to Pres elect Obama? I would think he would
try to do some a** kissing. We shall see.

While it would have been more personally satisfying to see "Traitor" Joe get the axe from the Democrats it's better to keep him close. Now "Traitor" Joe owes Obama a big favor for saving his behind. I hope Obama read him the riot act about being loyal.

This shows the big difference between Democrats and the repugnant ones as the repugnant ones would have drummed him out of their caucus because they can't see beyond their petty partisan hate.

I'm glad that Leiberman at least acknowledged that it was Obama who saved his a55. Still, it'll be up to the CT voters to decide his ultimate punishment and vote him out.

As they say its politics, I still have a let down feeling knowing that little troll is getting off scott free. The ammount of disrespect was outrageous.
I Know he was given a pass by PE Obama, but somehow it still makes me sick. I think he will show his true
colors again. maybe then they will kick him to the curb

I really don't have a problem with Lieberman supporting John McCain during the election, I am always for being bipartisan. My problem with him is that he agreed that he would not bash Barack Obama during the election and he did. He used all of the same old tired partisan republican talking points in his speech at the RNC. He turned right around and stabbed Obama and all the other democrats in the back. Now they are going to let him keep his posistion, he is obviously not trustworthy any more and anyone that thinks that he can be trusted is seriously underestmating him. If you are going to be bipartisan then be bipartisan don't just say that you are because you belong to one group but advocating for the other.....

Senator Lieberman made a political play supporting McCain in the presidential election, probably believing that McCain would win. Now that the election is all played out, he has some regrets as to statements he made against Obama during the election. The only reason he is still in is because to Obama. I would trust him as far as I could throw him. He is disloyal and needs to put on the back burner or at least placed on a time-out!

This is one of the many instances where Obama will show that he is not your typical politician. Imagine if Lieberman had been a Republican who had campaigned in the manner he did for a Dem Presidential nominee. The Republicans (and a Republican Presidential nominee) would have burned him at the stake. Limbaugh and Hannity would have called him a traitor and called for his head. But Obama gives Lieberman a break and welcomes him back into the fold. Obama is unique. Watch for more of these special and unquie decisions by Obama that reflect a very strong personal character. And to imagine that McCain, Palin, Lieberman and the Republicans tried to attack Obama's character during the campaign. I suppose they did so because of their own lack of personal character which hid from them exactly what they were taking on. An immovable force. It is ironic and sad how the Amercian people were able to recognize Obama's positive charcter attributes while many of our so-called representatives and leaders failed to recognize it. Are we electing the right folks when they can't even judge character.

Dennis Leary had the best comment last night on Hardball. Chris Matthews asked who was going to be head "pooper scooper" for 1st pup and Leary says Joe Lieberman....I like to died laughing. That to me summed up my thoughts exactly.
But also Evan Byah also said on Rachel's show that Joe would be watched and if he screws up again, he would be off the board...this vote yesterday was a formality and a shot across the bow so to speak. That if he doesn't toe the line they will pull his chairmanship in a heartbeat and he now knows this.
