This is a no win situation for either candidate. Too bad there is not an automatic re-vote when no candidate gets over 50%. Third candidate former Senator Barkley received over 10% the vote. So irregardless of who ends up with the most votes the system is flawed and neither side is going to come out looking good. Our foot-in-her-mouth MN 6th District Congresswoman, Michelle Bachmann also received less than 50% vote with a signicant number of votes going to the independent candidate. Yet she tries to vindicate herself as the people have spoken. If more than half the people didn't vote for you that should tell you something.
