Yea, its a rogue operation within pakistan.
Its a rogue operation within Lashkar.
No Paki is involved.
No Lashkar is involved.
No one other than the dead terrorists are involved.
Even the captured one is a poor muslim, roaming the CST with a toy gun in his hand.
There is a limit to such pandering guys.
When it was known that Al-Qaeda (without the Afghan govt involvement) was involved in 9/11, and they are hiding in Afghanistan, if US had the bloody rights go after them, I think we should give such right to India as well. Its the double talk, made us look stupid and arrogant in the world's eye, its time to change, and call a spade a bloody spade.

What bothers me is where is the CIA when you really need them. Why can't we do clandestine operations on terrorists. Well I guess it would be easier if we hadn't violated the rights of everyone we touched for the last 8 years. Damn. We know that these are terrorist groups.

How about this - Note to _____(fill in group). If you are associated with this group in any way you are fair game for retaliation. If you don't want women and children to be collateral damage - separate them from the terrorists (yourselves).

Oh well I can dream.

India certainly has the right to after Pakistan but that might start a nuclear war (which really wasn't a possibility when the U.S. invaded Afghanistan), so some restraint is probably called for. However, Pakistan will soon need to make a decision: Will it actually take effective action against the various terrorist groups that operate for its territory or will it allow the the rest of the world to take action agains those groups. I think the attacks in Mumbai are going to shift world opinion strongly against Pakistan unless it starts to show some resolve.

India has every right to go after the terrorists in Pakistan whether US likes it or not. People in India dont care if Pakistan is US ally or bedfellow they just cannot take it any more - Its time for the Indian Govt to ask whether you are with us or not and if you are with us then dont oppose the military action against so called US ally!. I still dont get it how come Pakistan keeps fooling US with war on terror - Pakistan's ISI and army are really terrorists US should be going ater them and not bunch of gun trotting cowboys - taliban (who are apparantly their creation any way)

The funny thing is...
Its simpler than that... if only theoretically..
1) Pressure the international community to force Pakistan to disarm....
2) Let Indian military work with the new Pakistani government to take action on terrorism on Pakistani soil...
Now things you should know about Pakistan:
The new government is actually very effective...
But Pakistan is not in the hands of the government... its a military state... ISI rules it... the government of Pak knows this well... but is helpless...
Indian army can crush Pakistani terrorism if it wants to... the only reason it doesn't is that if Pakistan is cornered.. it will launch a nuclear attack...
Indian government and army are moral enough to not hurt civilians and the government of Pak if given the chance and just attacking the terrorists...
Hell, if India was offered Pakistan at this point, it wouldn't accept...
But yeah, we WANT Kashmir back... thats our only beef...
Dsarming Pak would make it clear for India to get in and take action..
And trust me, Indian military is better equipped and has a better capacity than even the US military.. to handle these particular terrorists.. This is cause we understand the area much better, know their customs, their issues and are used to the terrain...
Its just a matter of international cooperation and some trust from the Pak govt... which frankly shouldn't have trouble trusting the morality of Indians, given that India has never attacked Pak and never ever helped launch a terror attack on Pak soil ever... neither have we shown any interest in land inside of Pakistan..
International cooperation is tough to obtain, but was achieved in case of Iraq and u guys had it disarmed...
so.. just my 2 cent... that i borrowed from an ex-military general i met a few days a go.. that seems to make perfect sense to me...

The situation between Pakistan, and India is going to get much worse politically. These two nations have nukes, and are not afraid to use them. Our military is Afganistan. Is now in even greater danger than before Thanksgiving, and they better find a new supply route. The Indian Government, is going to flex their military might very soon. The people of India want revenge very badly, and the terrorists in Pakistan will "cleaned out" very quickly. That is fact!

Given the amount of fake evidence 'found' in Iraqi government buildings, 'found' by journalists shortly after the CIA was supposed to have searched the buildings and 'smuggled out' under the noses of US military forces, I would treat claims from Indian authorities of Pakistani involvement with extreme scepticism.
