For SEVEN YEARS George Bush was the MOST ADMIRED MAN in America ??????

He didn't even make the trains run on time !!

Where was Jeffrey Dahmer during those 7 years ?

If Bush was named the most admired man for seven years running then this tells all about this survey. It is worthless.

How in the world does Bush earn the top spot for seven years when during the majority of those years his favorable ratings have consistently dropped to as low as 27%.

The survey is a joke. And I'm willing to say this even at the risk of accepting the insignificance of the survey regarding Obama's recent selection as the most admired man.

No surprise at all with Obama and Clinton. Together they broke the barrier of "old white guys" in presidential politics. However, I'd love to know what criteria they used that resulted in Sarah Palin being rated above Oprah. How could being a laughably ditzy Governor who takes pride in her own ignorance of the world around her compare with the charatible work that Oprah has done around the world, not to mention the lives she's changed. And as if we needed a reminder of just how asleep we have been as a nation...

Obama admired about what? He has not done anything yet. Most of his life, he either went to college or ran nonstop for one office after another. Yep, and along the way he wrote an autobiography. Talk about selfconceit. Just what we need, another lawyer in Washington who never worked in his life but knows all the answers. If anyone should be admired than it is the american worker, who actually did work, and under adversity, considering the miserable governments we had for the last thirty years which gave all its support to greed.

What First Read fails to tellyou is that 32% of the people voted Obama as beingmost admired. The distant second for Bush rallied a mere 5%. Quite a distance. McCain garnered 3%. Hillary won top honors with 20% of the vote compared to 11% for the idiot Palin. Oprah finished with 8% of the vote. It still amazes me that Palin can gathered a double digit vote on ANYTHING other than being a joke and a total embarassment to all woman everywhere, except perhaps, those living in the bible belt who thought she was a breath of fresh air......gag me; she;s an idiot. Period.

Yeah, hilsy is most admired, in a ranking where W was #1 man for seven years and Palin is #2 now. Shows how REAL people, that is real, "working, HARD WORKING WHITE" people, and everybody else too, REALLY FEELS about hilsy. she is just as good as W to us.

The survey should be renamed to who is in the news at the moment......... the results would be the same.

Most people who are surveyed don't really answer the question they just reel off the names that are most popular at the time. Look at People's sexiest man. You can bet it's going to be the guy that has the #1 movie of the moment.... as long as he's decent looking. Surveys are always a joke.
