Now Obama will show the stinking cheapskate false patriots how tax cuts are done that actually grow the economy. We don't need anymore stinking capital gains tax cuts that only benefit the rich and greedy few, we need tax cuts and relief that helps poor and middle class Americans who got short changed by the bushwhacker's tax cuts.

Obama needs to undo the damage that Raygunz did eliminating the top two tiers of taxes.

The current leadership of the CIA is too compromised by torture, water boarding, and 'enhanced' interrogration techniques.

I am not sure how this should play out. On one side, I would like the Repubs to use this as a way to justify their decision to support the plan to their constituents. That way we get this thing done so we can start moving...what is the alternative? do nothing???

But on the other side, repubs: "DON'T TRY TO ACT LIKE THIS WAS YOUR IDEA ALL ALONG!!! you don't care about the middle class, and we know it. You don't care about communities, roads,health care, schools and diversity. You want war, big business and religion.

What Obama is proposing is a plan that makes sense which happens to focus on things that both sides want. Repubs, If you are smart, you would support this. Dems don't need you, you are being offered a chance to take credit for it too. Why? Because yes we can bipartisanship !

The Democrats who control Congress are going to have to throw some crumbs toward their Republican counterparts. The Repbublicans will go kicking and screaming and slam on the brakes to anything that benefits the average working guy. So there needs to be some goodies for everyone. We'll give this if you give that and we'll get this and let you have that. It is called compromise. We haven't seen much of that in Congress for several years. If the Republicans don't cooperate they could find themselves on the outside looking in when a new Congress is sworn in January 2011.

OMG! OBAMA'S TRYING TO INCLUDE REPUBLICANS IN THE PROCESS OF HEALING THIS COUNTRY?! I didn't know you could do that. Judging from the last 8 years I thought the idea was that you were supposed to freeze out anyone who didn't belong to your party, or agree with your ideology. Go figure.

It is apparent the republicans are still putting party before country. They have yet to acknowledge or admit their actions over these last eight years have almost destroyed our great nation. They are having fund raisers to "fight the left's agenda" regardless of our countries or our survival. They have no intention of working with other politicains to help resolve the problems they have created. They blame Bush but supported his every thought, criminal policies.
Will they ever or are they capable of putting our country and the people first???
