Good news for the country when another despicable repugnant one resigns and hopefully the Democrats can pick up another Senate seat next election. Hopefully we'll get the Senate seat from Florida as well. The more Democrats in Congress the better for our country.

More doors open for Democrats as the "old guard" of the GOP fall out. Those who ware a key reason for the mess we have now don't want to go down to the sure defeat they will suffer so to save face they resign. This opens the door for Democrats.

Funny that you mention "old guard" Republicans. There are about 6 Democrats in the Senate on their last legs! They were around when dirt was invented. More appointments are coming I guess.

I am looking forward to the 2010 Republican Primary in Missouri. This is going to be a knife fight as a preview of the 2012 Presidential race with all of the different factions throwing as much mud at each other as possible.

Steelman and Emerson can't get the Republican nomination. Kinder, Blunt, Graves, Talent, and Hulshof can't win the general.
