Burris MUST be seated, it is the fastest simplest way to circumvent a special election and a Senator that would reflect the will of the people, espcially since the will of the people might not be democant, and we can't have that.

Course if it DID come to a special election and the democant DID lose, then we could always, count, re-count, re-count our way to a democant victory. We DO like doing that!

Obama is preparing the order the closing of Gitmo. About time. Get this sore off the back of the United States. It is a pox placed on this country by GWB that needs healing.

But let's first assure J. Merle before closing Gitmo that there will not be terroists from every Arab speaking country hiding under his bed.

This whole buzz-kill needs to just go away. They should seat the man, regardless of Blago's pending impeachment, if solely based on the fact that it will be a 2 year appointment at most. Then perhaps we can get back to the business of running and improving this country??

On a separate topic, Bush/Cheney will be called to answer for war crimes and torture whether it be by a US based court or the World Court. It's not really in Obama's hands and perhaps it shouldn't be. My question to anyone that knows the answer is this: If they are indicted by a US court and Obama issues a pardon, can the Hague still prosecute??

I don't care what they decide. Burris does NOT represent ME in Illinois. He will be voted OUT in 2010. He should be ashamed of how he obtained this seat and voters will not forget in 2010.

Burris, like it or not, WILL represent Diane from Illinois just like Barack Obama. like it or not, will represent me as my president.

I can think of only 62 reasons why Obama should not be president but enough of the misguided voted him in so I'm stuck with him. I have no choice but to wish him well.

The man has the ability to do the job. The Gov.may not be noble but America don't need to spend millions to elect someone when we already have a person in place. Seat the man and move on.
