Now he's finding out who really is in charge. Spoending hundreds of billions, and even trillions of dollars is not the way to fix the economy Barack. Somehow you got the idea that the US Treasury was your personal piggy bank. At least there are are people in Congress that get it and know that we cannot spend our country out of a recession, especially with money we do not have. So Barack, enjoy your swearing in and all your parties, but let the running of the country to others.

Agenda: The TARP campaign

Guantanamo isn't going anywhere. In exchange for equity, the federal reserve would establish this bank to buy the toxic assets - we would then know how much is around - and slowly sell them with time. The equity given to the banks should be loaned out 1:20 to solid borrowers. It would be a new start. Once things are going again, the equity held could be sold so that the banks become publicly owned again. The toxic assets will be slowly dissolved and the bank bank closed.

Agenda: The TARP campaign

"I'm underimpressed by the phony republican outrage. Did McConnell and Boehner demand accountability on the FIRST $350 million? "

Especially when you consider where that first $350 billion has gone -- for acquisition of smaller, cash-strapped banks by larger ones. It's hawk and field mouse time, kids, just like with the Reagan tax cuts of the early 80s. It went something like this: if we cut corporate taxes, they will use the savings to create modernize plants, create jobs, and hire workers. Except THAT THEY DIDN'T -- they bought up other enterprises and actually shrank the competition. That Paulson and his fat cat cronies set this system up with no oversight -- and then threatened Congress by saying that if TARP didn't pass, the blame would fall on them -- is one more symptom of a very corrupt system.

Bonehead Boehner and Lipless McConnell had their days in the sun and brought down the system. Show up, shut up, and wear beige, gentlemen.

Agenda: The TARP campaign

All you goofy Libeals were so hot about Obama taking over and putting the pedal to the metal...

He's now finding out he is only the General manager..
Congress is the owner of the team....

Agenda: The TARP campaign

Heath Fretters, NY:

Hey Heath. I never feared once for my rights in the past 8 years because I have not done anything wrong. I think paranoia is contagious and the left always sees the worst in a Republican and that is what fueled the Gitmo craze. People "outside the pale" that would be all too willing to sever your head if they had the chance. Dream on idealists where ever you are!

Well Paul, I am so glad you have complete detail and information on every single person held at Gitmo. It's nice to know that someone in this country has all the specific intel and knowledge to rightfully call each of these individuals scum of the earth. We might as well just execute every one of them and then we can go ahead and close Gitmo for sure. We could go even further and execute every single peson being held in U.S. prisons. I'm sure based on your knowledge that not a single person held in our prisons today is innocent or deserves anything less than an execution.

Here's the crux of the matter Paul. This country that you apparently expouse to love so much and want to defend was built on several deeply held beliefs. And one of those beliefs is that a person is considerded innocent of a crime until proven guilty. Yet here you are, the Chief Justice of How America should treat prisoners, duly appointing yourself judge, jury and executioner of all. Hey Paul, even the Nazi spys and war criminals were charged and had a trial before a sentencing was carried out.

I may be an idealist but you fit the bill of a Despot, a paranoid despot at that. And here is a bit of information for you. I could care less what Obama does. But I do care that our country stand by its ideals and principles and that includes charging a person with a crime, giving that person a trial, and dispensing a sentence based on the evidence provided. It does not include holding people in prsion for years without charging them, providing trial and sentencing them. Don't speak of WWII Paul. Even the lowest type of scum on earth who ordered the mass imprisonment, torture and gasing of the Jews were charged, tried and sentenced.

The problem with you Paul is that you don't have an ideal bone in your body. In fact, your thoughts are similar to those Nazis you speak of. Let's as all those folks in Gitmo, what you say Paul?
