The Dow's loss was its second in excess of 300 points since Barack Obama was inaugurated; the first was the 332-point loss on Jan. 20.

What do the two days have in common, Obama becomes president, Obama's Spending Bill Passes and his highly awaited Bank Plan is revealed.

If Wall Street continues - we will find a way to make them no longer an issue for our country.

We put too much focus on Wall Street numbers and how they affect our economy.

If the wall streeters think that somehow their inactions to trade will make President Obama and his plan to revamp our economy and create jobs a failure.

They are sadly mistaken!!!

We can and will find a way to make them trade or isolate them from our financial society.

The bottom line Marcus D., Chicago - wall street will not continue to dictate our country's wealth and they certainly will not dictate our President efforts.

So don't get to happy with the Wall Street non-sense.

It was developed by man and so it can be undeveloped by man.

Honestly, I really think it will take a revolution to straighten this country out.

U.S. attorneys are political appointees. The normal practice, when there's a change of political parties in the White House, is for the incoming administration to replace all 93 U.S. attorneys with appointees from the new president's party. For now, the Obama administration has asked the current Republican-appointed U.S. attorneys to remain in their posts while it considers how many to retain.

But Fitzgerald will not be asked to move on. Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois has recommended that Eric Holder, the new attorney general, keep Fitzgerald. That suggestion was "positively received," according to officials at the Justice Department and Sen. Durbin's office.

Fitzgerald has been the U.S. attorney in Chicago since 2001. His spokesman had no comment on Fitzgerald's future.

If Fitzgerald is doing his job, why get rid of him? Why should Eric Holder replace him while he has a case still pending against Blago. Wouldn't that delay the process?

In all fairness, be it republican or Democrat, you don't get rid of someone because of party affiliation...isn't that what the Bush Justice Department did? If I recall they had a nut that was in charge of hiring. I am sure there are a lot of other incapable attorneys that can hit the road.

When did replacing all 93 become "normal?" It seems that Clinton was the one that replaced all 93 and no one barely blinked an eye. But when Bush replaced WAY less than that, you could have thought the world was ending, according to the Libs.

Somehow like most Republicans, you missed the point of the outrage about how Bush handled the replacements. He selectively fired based on politics. It had nothing to do with abilities. But then he didn't recognize "ability".

I was going to say that I thought it great that the attorney prosecuting Blago be retained since he's the one with the background and insight. Why start over?

And Marcus, the Dow doesn't like anything it can't see fast money for. The banking bill is coming with strings this time - no free handouts for bankers. The unknown frightens Wall Street and the Dow since they don't have Obama in their pocket like Bush and company were.

As a resident of IL, I'm happy to hear Mr. Fitzgerald will be staying on, although we weren't hearing anything here that would have suggested otherwise. I'd have worried about the Blagojevich circus becoming even more ridiculous with a change in lead prosecutor.

One of the best things about Fitz is that- when he speaks, you get no sense of political ideology (from either side). Just as it should be.
