I am a conservative. The popular GOP candidates really are not that inspiring. Neither was "little trees". But I have to wonder, if a businees is failing why shouldn't those with the most to lose be able to cut payroll? A theme I found lacking in the speach was "service". I heard competition. I heard personal responsibility. Those are admirable qualities, but, the freedom to be of service by the grace of God is what provides a little bit of heaven on earth. The Lord is giving us plenty of opportunity to exercise those freedoms. The conservative party somehow needs to regain that connection if they want to win back some credibility.
