In Morning Drive: Things I Wish I Knew Before I Started Talking Smerconish argues the cable TV news presents a too-simple and ultimately unrealistic, "liberal or conservative" view of the world.
And this morning on Reliable Sources with Howard Kurtz, Smerconish revealed some personal anecdotes about his talk show experiences involving Glenn Beck, David Gregory, Larry King and a Fox News program - experiences that may well affect future bookings.

Chavez, like most Latin American governments supports ties with Cuba

Origanally, Cuba was thrown out of the OAS for trying to help overthorw various Latin governments
This is LAUGHABLE when one considers how many Latin American governments the US has overthrown

Now, the party line is that Cuba is not a member of the OAS because it's not Democratic

Yet, Chile under Pinochet, Argentina under the junta and many other US puppets were allowed in the OAS whne they made no pretense of democracy

I'm guessing that Chavez and Ahmedinejad's recent meeting was to help coordinate the next outrageous comments from either or both.

Actually there isn't a "Socialist Filter" on philosophy. If you are conservative, then you have conservative values...no matter what your country make up is.

That's the problem in this country, somehow, somewhere...the GOP tricked everyone into thinking that conservative = capitalist.

Some would argue that the third reich (which were technically fascist) was a conservative group...they used patriotism for the preservation of traditional values in Germany. They argued for a christian state, and were very intolerant toward opposing views.

So conservatives could be capitalist, socialist, fascist...

It's in any normal philosophy book.

What we have is the best banking system in the world, universal health care, gov't funding for secondary education, have five political parties and the natural resources you need. Our democracy is based on the principles of fairness, a commitment to look after our own and a parlimentary system that makes sense in the 21st century.

I absolutely love Vancouver, one of the best cities on the planet. People are really nice too. Everything is running fiber optic...hybrid and electric busses everywhere...light rail for commuting. If it didn't rain so much it would be perfect.

You still haven’t addressed policy…. How is the Policy hurting the country. For example; Rogue I disagree with how he chooses to spend X amount on widgets. If he spends X amount it can deflate or currency.
