I think the administration acted appropriately.

Interesting that they took the step of designating it a Counter-Terrorism Operation in order to clear the way.

Does this mean that all future actions against pirates can or will be designated as counter-terrorism operations, even though their actions appear to be more criminal actions as opposed to terrorist actions?

One can only wonder what the reaction from people like Philly Mike above would have been had the exact same actions been taken by a Republican administration.

In that case, I think the two-faced/left wing/looney tunes would criticize the action as not being applicable to piracy and demand the president be tried for excessive force in the resolution of a run-of-the-mill high seas robbery.

According to the United States Constitution the elected President is Commander and Chief, not some Navy Seal or ROE. The President calls the shots –period.

Within my military we don't use terms like “raggies.” That is profiling and racist. And its use, if officers or I hear it, will place you in the brig.

The line about "imminent" danger, shows how stupid the email writer is. Becuase anytime you bring weapons itno a hostage situation you increase the chance of the hostage getting shot. That is why they wait usually wait until the hostage is in "Imminent" danger.

I agree with all of the above. I have NEVER seem such shady journalism, or jumping on the bandwagon each time one of the nutcases from the right, who cannot accept our new duly elected President as our leader, put out such rubbish. Too bad all of you weren't around when Bush, Cheney and the rest were taking our nation down the path to war, being complicent with Haliburton, or pushing Blackwater thugs into New Orleans to clean things up...It is pathetic!
