What I have done is work double, back to back shifts, which was what I did my first day on the job, evenings, weekends, on-call, nights, unpaid overtime, and I am still paying my student loan. I would teach, but I'm not sure I can recommend nursing as a profession above others that require the skill, tenacity, and intelligence.
