Just like in the days of the gillotine or public hangings the spectacle draws people no matter how repulsive it gets. We flock to horror movies with lots of blood and gore so for a crowd to see Sarah Palin is nothing to get excited about. Human nature is simply at work there.

Not being a white male, Sarah Palin won't go far and if the Republican Party moves, as they should, to the center she will have even less of a chance at national politics. That is unless, of course, the people of Alaska elect her to their one House seat or a Senate seat. Just think of all the winks and "doncha knows" we could get in Congress. Wouldn't that be fun?

Rather than call the Republicans the party of NO, I think a more accurate name might be the party of DON'T KNOW. They haven't a clue and are totally devoid of any plan of action or alternatives to the well thought out agenda of the Obama administration.

Historically, a party that wins the general presidential election as well as control of Congress loses seats in the next off-year election. I don't see that happening in 2010, which will be great for the next phase of bringing this great country back to where it belongs - to the people.

By the way, want to see the banks pay back their TARP loans quickly? Just tell them they can't reward their top management with obscene salaries and bonuses until they do. Those poor babies can't live without their corporate jets and lavish lifestyles. "Honestly my dear, these people are so COMMON."

I find it curious how much venom folks have towards her. It's one thing to disagree with her, but this is nothing but hatred. I guess it's your right to hate folks. But I think these postings say more about you than her. I've heard her disagree with folks. I've heard her criticize folks (including POTUS). But I've never heard her spew this kind of stuff at anyone else.

I'm not a huge Palin fan, but I don't hate her as much as this group seems to. It's clear that the new POTUS has set a new tone, eh?

The talking point that won't die. Sarah bashing does not now, nor will it ever, equal fear. Sarah is a joke, plain and simple. This woman was not ready for the spotlight in which she was thrust, and continues to show it at every opportunity. Katie Couric threw her softball questions, and she fell flat on her face. She has a husband who wants Alaska to secede, she is set up as a champion for moral conservatives, yet her own family cannot practice those family values she is supposed to be the champion of, and she thinks the job of the VP is to write legislation with the Senate.

Rather than continue to ridiculous "we bash out of fear" why not try and defend any of those talking points against her? No one ever seems to want to. Whenever they are brought up, people sidestep them all and resort to "you bash out of fear" or "you bash because she is a threat" or "she is too good for you"

Well, the right bashes Obama even worse. Using your own logic, he must be too good, and conservatives must fear the good he could do, because they bash so much.

Of course, in this age of "it is only ok when republicans do it, not when democrats do" i am sure there is at least one well rehearsed and tired talking point about how bashing on one side means one thing but bashing on the other side doesn't.

So, have at it Sarah supporters, we're waiting.
