North Korea wants money and Barack will give it to them in order to buy their friendship. Sucker! Let Japan and China buy them out.

Obama was a failure BEFORE day one. If you count his “Office of the President Elect” stint, we are now in the sixth month of the benevolent reign of Barack Hussein Obama and here is what he has done-
9.4% unemployment and still rising
April housing starts lowest on record
Gasoline prices rising, over $3 per gallon in the Midwest
N. Korea tests and atom bomb and guided missile

So what does Barack do? He takes ANOTHER vacation at taxpayer expense. Nice to see him spending so much stimulus money in FRANCE!

The blame Bush for everything excuse is getting a little tiresome. When will Obama be held responsible for today’s serious issues?

On the one hand, it is understandable to honour a foreign, sovereign nation's rule of law no matter how much we disagree with it. These two reporters knew the risks associated with the assignment. Perhaps they were banking on North Korea being forgiving because they are young, female, and attractive. But on the other hand, this smacks of kidnapping. I'd like to know if they actually crossed into NK.

Somebody needs to explain to the NK government that the one sure way to keep from having a global can of whoop a** opened on your country is to stop poking the rest of the world in the eye. Frankly, I'm about ready to pop the top on that can myself. The world has enough problems already that are far more pressing than this sabre rattling. If North Korea wants to shut itself off from the rest of the world; fine. But if they want to continue this provocation, I say spank em' hard and fast and send them to their corner quickly. Get the nukes, the reporters, and heck; even the USS Pueblo back.

What North Korea wants and what North Koreans need are two entirely different things. The government is acting like a petulant child. Treat it like one.

I am really starting to hate the North Koreans. They are very very lucky I am not in charge because I would give the go ahead to nuke them! But, that would probably only make things even worse so it's probably a good thing that Obama is the president.

Personally, I think that President Obama is doing a great job. He inherited an incredible mess when he assumed the presidency. In the short few months he has been in that office, he has already done a lot more good than Bush did during his eight years.

The main thing keeping Obama from being even more successful is the resistance he keeps getting from the Republicans; and some bad Democrats...

The main problem with North Korea is their leaders. It would be nice to somehow kill them off because I don't believe the North Korean people as a whole are bad.

Obama is an appeaser. He will give NK all kinds of stuff to get them to shut up and then in 3 yrs they will do it again and he will give more stuff.

NK lauch a missile over Japan. Japan should have attacked the country as an act of war and then we would have been obligated to join one of our allies. This would have been completely legit on Japans part and kept the political heat off of us.

Before all you lefties start yelling about Japan starting the war when it was just a test answer this little question first. If Isreal would have did the same test over several Mid East countries and they would have attacked Isreal because of it would you have a problem with that.

I'm surprised they went so easy on the journalists. One of the journalists sister, Lisa Ling, did a big expose' on NK for National Geographic a few years ago. NK pulled out all the stops for Ms Ling and the NG crew, showing great hospitality- granted it was propaganda, but betraying hospitality in many asian cultures is seen as a very serious offense. While Lisa and her team had "handlers" pointing them in the "right" direction, the NG crew also used hidden cameras and a little subterfuge to get footage of the hell that most NK's live in. I don't remember if it was the Lisa Ling special, or a different NK expose' show that revealed (probable) cannibalism amongst the NK's. In any event, I thought the sins of the older sister surely would have been visited on the younger sister journalist here. She's lucky.
