I saw that game and I can confirm that they played like Republicans:

- The pitcher kept shaking off signals from the catcher.
- They said they needed more time to study previous games the umpire had called but were still convinced that he was not qualified to call balls and strikes.
- When at bat, they threatened to fillibuster which would require the Democrats to get 60 votes before they could throw a pitch.

"They played liked republicans". Ha! at least they were good sports and could poke fun at themselves for a change, instead of NO and here's our plan which is tax cuts. Nice to see some good natured fun on both sides; wish they could carry a little of that bi-partisan spirit with them to the Hill.

My Own Personal Field of Dreams –

When are we going to start making trades in this country? There are a few players I’d like to see let go in exchange for more progressive, intelligent players. The first to go should be G. Gordon Liddy & Pat Buchanan. It’s time to bring up a new generation of players, since we’ve completely changed management. These two guys totally belong in the dead ball era. Along with many many others who continue to talk as if they have something progressive to offer this country. Times change. Time to clean house. Wolf Blitzer, and so many others are way out in left field as far as "reading" this country and where it's headed.

Need new faces. New voices. It is afterall the 21st Century.

The Repubs took a cue from the Dems behavior during the 2000 election and announced that they should be awarded the win becaue, after all, they MEANT to win AND actually stranded more men on base by the end of the game. The umpire told them that, if they want the rules changed, they should do it BEFORE the game starts.
