It's so funny watching these Republican Politicians pretend they care about the Iranian citizens in the street fighting for the right to let their votes be heard, when we all know what this is really about and that's damage control of who they have finally been exposed to be, the world identify them as not with the people in the street fighting for freedom, the republicans are identified with the fraudulently elected President Ahmadinejad and the Conservative Regime that controls Iran.

We know this, Americans have had to deal with an Ahmadineja and a Conservative Regime for 8 years and in fact, we still have a few in congress who I previously stated are now trying to camouflage themselves as people who are for free elections and who are for fair elections; but people don’t be fooled by this, the Republican Party is more in-line with the current regime in Iran than anything happening in their streets; and it is in the Republicans Party and the Conservative Iranians best interest to keep each other in power, because without the other, they can in no way survive as we are bearing witness to this right now.

On the other hand, there are African nations that have asked for international help (Somalia, for example) and no one responds to that. Why? It sounds to me like Mrs. Clinton saw an opportunity to beg off meeting with the bloodthirsty dictators in Iran and ran with it. Good for her.

Jimmy Carter brought back the 'holy man, almost a saint' Ayatollah Khomeini from France, and the results were devestating for the U.S. and the Iranian people. He acted out of a sincere, naive belief that all religous people were inherently good.

Obama means to stay out of Iran right now, despite the leadership being shown by European leaders, because he is ego driven to bring about a 'new understanding' with the Ayatollah Khameini-and Ahmedinjad. He sees himself as the one human being on earth that can bring people together, united in their overwhelming awe of-Barack Obama. He thinks he is the idol of the world's fan club-and he's wrong, and dangerous to the health of the western world.

The Obama worshippers on this site and in the press don't get out much. they did not notice the European elections, held just after Obama spoke in Germany and France, which swept out the leftists and elected right wing politicans in their place. They notice not at all the contempt in which Germany's Merkel and France's Sarkozy hold Obama. And they are blind to the view of the people of Europe, who agree with Sarkozy that Obama is 'dangerously naive'.

So, Americans see him as disastrous on domestic policy; the rest of the world sees him as ineffectual on world matters, and those who worship him continue to give him credit for the sun rising in the east.

You people live in an alternate universe.

With the current leadership in Iran, Iran would be a a serious threat and problem to the US. A new regime would be a game changer for that relationship. A new leadership in Iran may be more interested in joining the world community and behave is a positive fashion towards the US and the West. If that new leadership is also better for the people of Iran, terrific.

If it were an important meeting with the Chinese, Hillary would go with a cast on her arm. So who is she snubbing? Italy's favorite sexual compulsive perhaps? Berlusconi makes Bill look like prince charming.

Maybe the G8 just doesn't have a lot of relevance right now. Too many divisions? Too many agendas? Maybe more important events elsewhere deserving her attention?

Dear friend, if you have any contacts within the American Administration, please send them this message on behalf of us, ordinary Iranians in Iran (whose interests and concerns are very different from those of the exiled Iranians in the United States and in Europe who do not yet understand the mentality here and who have been cut off from the Iranian society for too long). Tell your contacts in the Administration that their point of view regarding Iran is by far the best position that an American Government has ever taken. We appreciate this and thank the President.

During the last two or three decades not one American president had "understood" Iran. All of them got caught in the traps of the mollahs, despite themselves having to play the bad cop .. but this time the intelligent president has decided not to join in their game, bravo.

It is normal that he is criticized vividly by most of the Los Angeles Iranians (and by most Republicans): since a long time they have been asking for just one thing : that America attack Iran and change the regime so that they get their possessions and their former jobs and privileges back, without wanting to know what today's young Iranian wants here and now. It makes me think of the Cubans in Florida ... they don't consider the interests of their country but only what is due to them.

Someone disagreeing with Obama is not a racist, like Anita from Alabama, unless they choose to couch their criticism in racist terms. No matter who or what a person is they are given more dignity by GOD than to be minimized by racist slurs. Mike Tyson is a convicted rapist, though I think he was innocent, regardless any criticism of him, based on his race is unacceptable, and insult to ALL members of ALL races. I often disagree with Obama, for instance, he needs to stand up to insurance and deliver a REAL SINGLE PAYER HEALTH SOLUTION. Notice I felt no need to resort to slurs upon his ethnicity? Perhaps it is becasue MY criticism is valid and substantive, unlike racist anita's. When you find yourself ABLE to descend to criticizing ANYONE, even Justice Thomas, on their race as racists like anita do, it simply exposes the underlying racism in their soul. By the way, he like all the justices, are NOT there to "represent" any community, they are ALL there to represent the constitution, as it is written, not as they imagine it should be. You have staff for emergency situations like this and both men are well qualified to handle the G8. To the doubters, yes, she does have a road to travel with her arm. I know from experience.

As for Mitchell and Holbrooke doing fine, I'm sure they'll do okay, afterall, it was Hillary's idea to have these two envoys appointed. It was never BO's idea, contrary to what some who haven't done their research think, however, they certainly don't have Hillary's star power. Hillary is the toughest politician I know, and the hardest working politician I've ever seen, so hopefully, she'll take proper care of herself with this injury, and come back better than ever!
