Plenty of time for Corzine to overtake crooked christie njow that the Congress is investigating christie's criminal acts. Now all we need is for the law to take christie to court to prosecute him for his no-bid contract crimes.

Will old Arlen be able to convince enough Democrats to vote for him in the primaries? Only if he shows he's got our back in the Senate on the big legislation that counts like health care reform and the energy bill. Other wise Joe Sestak could give him an early retirement which is really the best course for all concerned.

For Jane in Washoe - your right Ensign's numbers are higher than Reid's. Kinda of sad when an adultress gets higher numbers than someone (Reid) who's never had that problem far as we know. What's wrong with that picture. The party of family values is so desperate for candidates, they make excuses for this appalling behavior.

Amusing to see the hypcrisy of many liberals--they huff and puff about certain conservatives being too idealogical in their views or for being insufficiently qualified. Yet they glow over guys like Al Franken being voted in as if now, as long as they have another liberal vote, qualification means nothing. Or when (i.e. Eric from Salinas) only cares about Specter "Only if he shows he's got our back...". So liberals, please just admit that you're good with smoke screens. At the end of the day you're the ones who want idealogical candidates who fit your world view...and qualifications really don't matter as much as you would like us to believe.

Like it or not... Obama will be on the list of great leaders..We all know Obama likes to Sit on his Aces of spades. We saw the election last year...Everytime you think someone has a leg up, he release a counter. All the good this will happen around election time to counter every move by the GOP... DUH!!!!

The Constitution's only requirements to be a US Senator: at least 30 years old; US citizen for at least the past 9 years; and an inhabitant of the state he or she seeks to represent.

Sounds like Franken is qualified to me.

The never-ending campaign. No wonder most of the American people dislike politics--it just doesn't stop and we'd rather they get busy and do some work.

Saturday, I received a recorded poll call. Obviously a GOP group still has mistakenly listed me as a registered republican--Mitt Romney's campaign did that in 2007/08 despite my telling them otherwise--he even sent me a Christmas card; my guess is that I'm still on Romney's call list. The questions were about who I voted for in the last republican primary and who would I like in the next one (glad they had an "other" button), what do I think of Pres Obama, his policies, etc. No doubt my answers will be puzzling to those GOP analysts.

Matt Doheny is a great addition to Republican politics. I am hopeful that the people of his district recognize the talent that has just arrived on their doorstep and vote accordingly. It's nice to see someone with some financial acumen looking to leave the fat wall street paycheck behind to enter the House of Representatives. The timing couldn't be better for our country.

are those annoying or what! I remember sitting watching Hardball, phone rings, let answering machine pick it up, OMG it was John McCain. That was the start of many, many of those damn calls. Thank goodness for call screening. I have no idea how they got our #. It was desperation if you ask me! Let's hit the democratic party with are calls, maybe they will jump on board. Another clueless tactic by the Party of No!!

Please Joe Sestak give Arlene Specter an early retirement. These people who jump ship when the tide doesn't flow there way I'm very skeptical of. You know people like Leiberman, who when the people speak find a way to get around the vote. I suspect that Arlene will change his tune if the Repubs were to gain some political strength. Send Specter fishing already

The problem with Christie and Corzine is that neither is the best candidate that could be produced. The biggest reason is that these guys can raise the money for the campaign. Christie seems to think that he can bully his way to a fiscally stable NJ; not really going to happen. Corzine was beginning to correct problems that were in created by past governors of both parties when the recession hit. No matter his good choices, the recession will be blamed on him.
