Endurance and stamina pale in comparison to intelligence for the top job in the world and Sinister Sarah will, never have enough intelligence to be POTUS.

Poor Gov. Sanford is unwittingly revealing that he's just as much a political playboy as the rest. He and his "buddies" would take trips to exotic places to cut loose, to drink and dance and dally. What does this say about his judgment? Great choice of friends, and too much money for his own good. Where does such a custom lead, but to trouble? And this wouldn't be a problem but for the fact that his political persona is so stingy, so unfeeling toward the problems of his constituents. His naivete is also a problem -- is Gov. Sanford fluent in Spanish? does he know much about Argentina and its political structures? Does he think a handful of idealized romantic encounters really allow him to know another person's agenda? Finally, Gov. Sanford appears to be a coward -- afraid to face down his wife, afraid to let go of an affair without a spiritual adviser and "chaperone" holding his hand, probably afraid to take the first step toward adultery -- just putting himself in a position where he could passively be drawn in. Now perhaps Gov. Sanford can step back from his sanctimonious self and have some empathy for other people and constituents who don't appear to have been favored by pre-destination.

Obviously, Gov. Sanford has never heard the saying "silence is golden". How else to explain his need to rub his wife's nose in all the sordid details he is now disclosing in public. Does he really think that this makes matters better? Mrs. Sanford would have to have pretty low self esteem to think she can work things out now since the Gov. has made it clear he is not in love with her and she would always be second best. Kick him to the curb, girl, and go on with your life. He isn't worth the embarrassment.

After the way his first term went, I never understood why Sanford was reelected. His party held the majority in both the state senate and house of representatives and he still couldn't get his agenda passed due to his inability to compromise. It was always his way or the highway. Remind you of someone else?

Thanks to leaders like Gov. Sanford and others of his ilk, I guess South Carolina will always be destined to be a laughingstock as long as people look for the (R) or (D) after candidates' names instead of looking beyond that to pick the person best suited for the job. It's too bad because this state is a great place to live and I couldn't see myself living anywhere else.

This is heatlhy. We need a good shakeup within the Republican Party. We need to come up with a good fundamental approach that will last a generation or two. This approach, I believe, should be bringing good libertarian thought to the front burner and put it on a full boil. It is a part of our past. Really take to the American people a vision of less government. We need to propose privatizing Amtrak. Privatize the USPS. Privatize NASA. Eleiminate the Dept of Education and return power to the states. The Dept of Ed was created under Carter to appease the teachers unions. A private for-profit education system will allow teachers to make what they really should be making.

And we need to put the "social conservatives" on the back burner on low.

Ohh, this post is sure to get flamed. Yet that is exactly the point. If I hit a nerve, then I've done my job.

The fact that she wouldn't challenge him to something that they are both involved with, like basketball, speaks volumes. Sarah was on a championship basketball team. What is she afraid of?

Did you catch the photo that accompanied the Runner's World article, with Palin posed and framed for Maximum Marketing Impact? Palin appeals to the people who are susceptible to this kind of stuff, who are swayed by pictures and descriptions on front labels, and never turn the package around to read the list of ingredients.

Decrying socialism when her own state practices it...preaching family values when her own family won't follow them...making promises she cannot keep (like when she promised before the election that Bristol and Levi were getting married, yeah, no political stunt in that promise)...troopergate....misappropriating travel funds for her children...etc.etc.etc.

Funny, for how often I hear "we bash because we are afraid" no one ever wants to try and actually defend any of her actions. They just sidestep it all and continue that asinine talking point about bashing out of fear.

Well, then I guess the GOP is really afraid of how good Obama must really be if they bash him even more than Sarah gets bashed.
