But based on your comment, maybe you agree with me on that one.

Nashville says: “Now THAT is the real CHANGE that we need . . . politics should not be a career to be pursued mainly for personal benefit . . . if its not about serving the public . . . then you need to get a "real" job in my humble opinion.”

Except for Democrat lifers. I say if Ensign has to go, so should Kennedy, who has never had a real job. Ensign’s transgressions are miniscule compared to the Dem liver, er, lifer. But then, such transgressions really have nothing to do with how good a job they do, right?

Democrats are just as confusing as Republicans.
Shower the people you love with love...

I love my "Chihuahua" imposter.

Come here Feisty, let me shower you with some love and then pee on your ankle.

Shower the people you love with love...

Go ahead and get the showers but if radical liberals are involved it will also mean "co-ed" showers. After all, according to liberals, there is no difference between men and women. And since they support any and every lifestyle, that means it would be discrimination to have "men's" and "women's" showers. It also might make bi-sexuals and transgendered folks upset, and we can't do that. So, go ahead and add the showers but be careful who you meet there....After all, in the lastest radical liberal "hate crimes bill" it's only straight people and religious people who must fear hate crime allegations. All the perverts are protected....

Shower the people you love with love...

We need to start creating sustainable jobs, which means we need to begin manufacturing and selling goods. At the risk of sounding like Joe [not] the Plumber, it's time to start making "Made in America" mean something again.

jawillie Philadelphia, PA

That's fine. So why does Obama continue to put more taxes and more regulation on the industries in the US? And this isn't just Obama, but this has been going on for 50 years. The government looks to industry and corporations as revenue sources, and in the process has killed most of those sources off.
Shower the people you love with love...

Tinkle Down Economics that have left the vast majority of us all wet from the wrong kind of golden shower. Eric, Salinas, CA (Sent Friday, July 10, 2009 1:47 PM)
---------------------------------------------------
Eric, $898 billion later and I haven’t felt a drop from Baracks Stimulus package yet!

Maybe he and Michelle need to fly to France again at US taxpayer expense and drink some more champagne!
Shower the people you love with love...

No Joe. Seems you have developed the Palin logic in making your points. Whereas the arguments have some merit, the logic is skewed a bit. The demand for luxury vehicles and yachts is down because the rich lost lots of money when their Wall Street chronies broke the banks and Bernie Madoff ran off with their extra cash. Have a nice weekend.

Shower the people you love with love...

Cancel the transit subsidies and tell the little snot she's lucky she isn't standing in an Obama line of "hope" looking for a little "change".

Shower the people you love with love...

Pat from Boston Bernie Sanders is a Socialist from VT! There are some on other posts that turn a non political answer into partisan hackery.

People that know me around here know I'm a liberal. But, as I've said before, we seem to paint with mighty broad brushes when sniping each other on this board. I will stand behind a solution I beleive in whether there is an "R" or a "D" behind the sponsor's name. I will oppose solutions on the same basis. I don't care WHO comes up with the plan, I'm going to back the plan I beleive in.

So, continuing the discussion; How do American Manufacturer's compete with overseas companies who pay pennies on the dollar, without becoming isolationists? In my opinion (after re-reading your post it seems it's your opinion too) we have to make the "Made in America" label the epitome of quility products. So much, in fact, that other countries once again covet the goods that bear the label. American's too need to start looking for the label again.

I don't want to cut ourselves off from the world. but, I do want the things we are able to make, and are willing to buy made here.
