Bush.
Not even a tip from Hall of Famer Willie Mays, who from Michigan hitched a ride to the Major League All Star Game in St. Louis with the president could help. "Just follow through and you'll be all right," the Say Hey Kid, now 78, advised the president.
Instead, President Obama, looking the part in a White Sox jacket, showed the world how much more accomplished the former president is at this task. Going with a full windup, Obama delivered in a reverse pivot, dismissed his adviser's tip by lobbing the ball far in the air, as if attempting a three point shot in some other sport. Only a miraculous catch by the games best player, Albert Pujols saved the president from further embarrassment.
Former President George W. Bush, meanwhile, has proved to be more than adept at the ceremonial pregame ritual. Perhaps this is because after a period of strenuous activity protecting the borders of Texas during the Viet Nam War while with the Air National Guard then managing an oil company into oblivion, Bush assumed ownership of Major League Baseball's Texas Rangers, where he had plenty of practice throwing the stitched sphere. In either a business suit or a ranch jacket, Bush, from a set position, could let fly a high, hard one on a line to the catcher.
By the way, President Obama, I also did not appreciate your diss of the captain of my beloved New York Yankees, Derek Jeter. "Old," you called him? Why you must have the all star shortstop by a good decade.
I hope you've learned your lesson, Mr. President, to stick with your own sport. I'd stay away from Sarah Palin's challenge of a distance race as well, President Obama. Even if you were able to win the race, she's got nicer legs...

Sorry, I submitted this earlier today, but I think it got lost, like many of my posts lately.
