Let the conventions be what they really are, a big old party to celebrate the nominee, not to name the nominee. Might even cut the cost of running for national office. Come to think of I am supprised the media are allowing this to happen, think of all the lost commercial air time, the ad agencies must be going nuts at the prospect!

WV wants to be a player on Feb. 5

Ohhh, interesting point, Melba. What are the pundits going to talk about after the Tsunami results are in? Well, that's easy... it will just be the daily tracking poll to see how the likely nominees compare. We'll have a nine-month general election.

WV wants to be a player on Feb. 5

Only a man born in germany, lived and loved in Colorado and crashed a plane he built himself could write a song about West Virgina. I'll give the devil his due. Robert Byrd is a racist and a moron, but that man knows how to give a speech. When he speaks and Sean Hannitty puts country roads in the background, I can listen to him for hours speak of the beauty and the love of his home state. Too bad Al Gore can't say the same for Tennessee, but of course, he lost that one to Bush in 2000. At least they knew what Allah Al was all about.
