Workers in America deserve equal treatment under the law regardless if that worker was a natural born citizen or a legal immigrant. Congress should not act on any reform until they allocate the resources to address and enforce current immigration laws. Passing an immigration reform bill without adequate resources to enforce current and future laws is a meaningless exercise and at best is a deception of the American public. Last year Congress passed a law to build a useless border fence, and did not allocate funds for construction. If Congress would simply spend money enforcing the border, then a fence would not be needed. Any Long term solution will require money and money would be better spent on people patrolling the border, than spent on a wall, that once built, can be easily torn down and breached. A border fence would amount to a whole in the water, constantly requiring maintenance. No wall will stop people from crossing the border. About 6 months after Katrina hit, Mayor Ray Nagin went on television(MSNBC) and complained that the jobs in his city were being taken over by mexicans and not enough of his black folks were being hired. I wonder why that was? Could it be that his people were just waiting for all that free money from washington to come down the freeway and turn new orleans around overnight? Ray Nagin told the world that at the end of the day New orleans was a Chcoclate city. Was he being racist? Might have been, he sure got cooked over an open flame for that remark, just like my chicken wings and malt beverage remark. But one has to ask themselves, is it true that the Mexican folks just want to work more then the Black folks. Judging from the mayor's comments and the liberal press and their video of black people standing around in New orleans with their hands in their pockets and all the crime being blamed on black gangs, maybe my statement stands tall. I've been called a lot of things in here, but a racist just makes me laugh. It is what the liberals are showing me that makes a fellow wonder and makes a fellow think and finally, makes a fellow speak.
