I don't mean to sound facetious, but have the republicans talked at length about the differences between them about health care, taxes, immigration, federal programs and the like?All I seem to read about is their stand on gay marriage, abortion and stem cell research. We are rapidly approach spending half of the world's total dollars for "defense" and amassing a tremendous deficit. As the third of three brothers to enlist, I suggest asking some sobering questions, like why can't we afford to provide the weapons in Iraq that our commanders are asking for and that we need to protect our troops and why can't we take care of our returning wounded vets in a respectable manner. Most of the right-wing Rambo wannabees running in the GOP primarys hid behind their mother's skirts during the Vietnam war, many of whom are proposing in the Middle East the equivalent of brain surgery with a chain saw. McCain was an exception to the Dick Cheney role model. Let's hope that if he wins he does some serious rethinking about how we are using and abusing our military.

McCain, isn't dumb, just mercenary. He hasn't changed a bit since he honed his skills in the Keating Fiasco...Although that being said, I guess he's no worse that the rest in Washington, tell'em what they want to hear, and if you really want the truth, you can find it in the fiction section....Personally, I'm still trying to find out what part of his constituency that this legislation he, (and now Kyl), are defending to the hilt, appeals to? They both admit they're being bombarded by the greatest backlash in their political careers....We certainly know the legislation is not the favored reading of "great unwashed" as McCain calls the genral public....Hmmm Then again,if history does repeat itself, I wonder has anyone seen McCain, Keating and Kennedy having lunch lately, they seem like the proverbial "birds of a feather" and amongst those with friends who might benefit from some cheap, illegal labor at the expense of everyone else. If that were the case, no doubt Keating would pick up the tab, as well as conveniently stuffing, Teddy's and John Boy's pockets with a couple hundred Thousand each......Sounds just like old times, doesn't it boys ???.... Ole Chipmunk Cheeks McCain, or as I used to call him, Psycho McCain. The man has lost it, plain and simple. He's dumber than a box of matches. He has no soul. He's just a failed politician who has (by pushing for open borders instead of closing the Border) helped to ruin his state and who thirsts for power even though he has gone down to defeat and has never made it to nominee status. And he won't, because he alienated conservatives in the GOP long ago. Now when he needs them most, he's like a man in a row boat in the middle of a large lake without any oars.

I look forward to his dropping out of the Presidential race at which time Ole Chipmunk Cheeks will probably back another liberal, the Good former-Mayor, Giuliani.

McCain has guts. He is trying to do something about the illegal alien problem; not just ignore it. If the bill passes, it will be a tough one, I think. Also, he is the only politician who is really against pork barrel spending in Congress. We need to stop these guys, and their campaign contributors, from squandering our money. McCain is also right about Iraq (and was a long time ago): we need to do more militarily over there, not less; while pressuring the Iraqis to enact changes (of course, it's tough enough to get our legislators to legislate!).

McCain is a flip flopper as we all know. His stance on the illegal alien amnesty is right there with McKennedy, Bush, Menendez - all the rest of them who are right now trying to sell us down the Rio Grande. As for Trent Lott's remark that talk radio hosts are "running this country and he needs to do something about that" - He must be finding out that America's people are now fighting back. Thanks in GREAT part to our radio talk show hosts who are keeping much of the nation informed on the big sellout they are working on with Kennedy --- if not for these radio hosts - too many of us would be continuing to run to the mall, the movie, anywhere but paying attention to what is happening to our nation. We got in this place because of our sheer apathy and laziness and refusal to learn what they are doing and to stand against this nonsense. If Lott is worried about the talk show hosts - then YES, YES, YES, people WE are being heard and in a way Lott and the rest of them don't want to hear us. Though they are totally IGNORING the American people who put them there - you can bet they ARE hearing us and hearing from us. Our talk show hosts are doing more to save our nation from this invasion and takeover from the southern border, and the total sellout of our country in Washington to the big business wanting the cheap labor and the illegal aliens willing to give it, to use up and bankrupt our social services, our schools, destroy our American heritage and culture and have loyalty only to Mexico - NEVER to America. It is all about the money - the politicians and their big business contributors they owe favors to and the illegal aliens who are working here, sending the money back to Mexico and DEMAND rights in OUR country where they have no right to BE here. Marching in the streets with our flag upside down, the Mexican flag upright and wearing shirts that say "F--- America". This is what McCain, Kennedy, George Bush, Trent Lott and the rest of that bunch are trying to give our nation over to. None of them BOTHER to voice the fact that they all took an oath to protect this nation - security our borders and keeping out illegal aliens is already their JOBS - no bill anywhere exempts them from that. Bush and McCain want to EXCHANGE border security for amnesty for 20 million illegals? Since when does our government BARGAIN with our national security with lawbreakers ON OUR SOIL?
