Y'all have converted me for certain-sure! The population will greet our troop increases with showers of flowers. None of the "occupier/occupy-ee" dynamics now at work in Iraq will occur in Afghanistan. We will not find ourselves in the middle of a civil war. We fully understand the social dynamics of the country, this time. The insurgents will not hide out in the impenetrable mountains until the time is ripe for a costly counter-offensive, nor will they blend into the general population of the cities and pick us off one or two at a time, making it necessary to kill whole cartloads of bystanders to get at the enemy. The Taliban will be more than happy to meet our armies face-to-face and settle this thing like honest-to-god Men, on a regulation Field of Battle which favors our military style. The families and friends of the locals we've slaughtered so far (and have yet to slaughter) will not themselves become our enemies, but will just forgive and forget the way Middle Easterners are wont to do. Al-Queda will not be a factor there, and it will not become a breeding ground for terrorists. It will not take 30 to 50 years to establish a good (but still weak enough for us to push around) central government, trusted and beloved by Afghanis and Americans alike. We will not forget all about bin Laden as the war expands with our expanded presence and we acquire scads of fresh and pressing targets daily; and the folks there will be only to glad to let us shut down their poppy fields (or are we there to protect them -- I forget, because poppy production has soared under US occupation ... ). It is NOT a quagmire, and sometimes you have to destroy a nation in order to save it. Count me in! Can't wait!! I yield to this forum's superior wisdom; which, unlike the wisdom which led us into Iraq, is not based on wishful thinking and best-case-only scenarios, but on a complete and solid assessment of the complexities of the situation in its entirety -- both military and political -- and a thorough understanding of just exactly what we're getting into this time. Check y'all out in 5 years or so, see what you think at that time of the GI body count which seems so affordable today ...

Richardson wants 'zero troops' in Iraq

Tear down the embassy and bases on the way out.

Richardson wants 'zero troops' in Iraq

Everyone, write your senators and representatives and tell them our troops need a type of body armor called dragonskin.

Richardson wants 'zero troops' in Iraq

Pursuing bin Laden and his orginization was a goal promised to us by our President on a pile of rubble, two days after 9/11. The Garden of Eden was in Iraq

2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq, was the cradle of civilization!

3.Noah built the ark in Iraq

4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq

5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq !

6. Isaac's wife Rebekahis from Nahor, which is in Iraq !

7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq

8. Jonah preached in Nineveh - which is in Iraq

9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel

10. Amos cried out in Iraq !

11 Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroyed Jerusalem

12. Daniel was in the lion's den in Iraq !

13. The three Hebrew children were in the fire in Iraq (Jesus had been in Iraq also as the fourth person in the Fiery Furnace!)

14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon saw the "writing on the wall" in Iraq

15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq

16. Ezekiel preached in Iraq ...

17. The wise men were from Iraq ..

18. Peter preached in Iraq .

19. The "Empire of Man" described in Revelation is called Babylon , which was a city in Iraq !

And you have probably seen this one: Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible.

But do you know which nation is second?

It is Iraq !

However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible.

The names used in the Bible are Babylon , Land of Shinar , and Mesopotamia ... The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers ..

The name Iraq, means country with deep roots.

Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible.

No other nation, except Israel , has more history and prophecy associated
With it than Iraq

And also, This is something to think about: Since America is typically represented by an eagle.

Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages ...

The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)

Koran ( 9:11 ) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah;

And there was peace.
(Note the verse number!) Hmmmmmmm?!
