Peggy just can't help herself, lol. She's usually smarter than this. Listen GOPers, the Clintons want you to analyze the Soprano angle of that video. That's why its there... hoping y'all will bite. Because when you do, it looks really silly. Its a funny video, not attacking anyone and seemingly to independents innocuous and cute. And when independents see you draw some "lessons" from it about Clinton's "criminal" inclinations, it just makes you look really dumb. Really dumb... even someone who isn't like Peggy Noonan. You actually are innoculating them against your later negative attacks. And this was all by design. Clinton knows she's a lightning rod. She knows if nominated she'll inspire yet another big-time negative campaign. Her defense is to make the negativity look over-the-top and downright silly. And attacking this video is both.

Dee, as much as I can't stand typos and all the other sloppy errors in everything I see printed these days, I don't usually put people down for them. And I see typos in all sorts of publications, not just message boards and e-mails. It seems to be a symptom of being in too much of a hurry to read things over before hitting send, among other things. I take it you assume that H P is a lesser educated woman because of the word "MARJORITY" as opposed to any of the ideas H P has presented. Harsh.

It's definitely time for a woman to try her hand at POTUS. Hillary Clinton is a superb choice. And, yes, I am a professional female with a college degree or two.

Those of you Republicans who think you will win on your same old 2006 message -- "{fill in the blank} Democrat is very, very scarey to me. Therefore, don't vote for Democrats!" -- are in for an even bigger thumpin' in 2008 if you keep it up.

Instead of just simply calling Senator Clinton idiotic names, how about taking an actual issue from her website and debating it with us "dumb" chicks?

Health care? We want it.
Out of Iraq? We want it.
A fair wage? We want it.
Great public schools in every community? We want it.
A woman making her own choices? We demand it.

Susan in Miami - she gets stronger when she's attacked for silly things like the Sopranos reference in her campaign song video. I really hate to agree with Jerry, lol, but you ain't see nuthin' yet. If nominated, she would face a withering, persistant attack on a wide variety of issues. They'll try to paint her as controlling, manipulative and sneaky. Like most political attack campaigns, there will be a mix of truth and hyperbole. And with her high negatives, which primarily come down to a sense that she can't be trusted and a sense she's a touch more socialistic than folks are comfortable with, those attacks will resonate. Look at it this way - her negatives are hard numbers. Folks who don't trust won't vote for her, period. This means whatever negative campaign the Republicans launch only has to steer a few percentage points (as in 3-4 percent) of voters away from her. Its an easy thing to do. She isn't mathematically unelectable, but in practical terms, she is unelectable. Nominating her would be political suicide for the Democrats - a great squandering of the surest non-incumbent presidential cycle I can think of.
