I think that tanning bed has baked John Boehner's brain. If I look hard enough I can see the puppet strings on his back. It's a shame that being a congressman, that "wimps" is the best intellectual arguement he can muster. It's that same mentality that dominated the decision makers that lead us into this situation.

I noticed that my senator, kit bond actually made a negative statement about the iraq fiasco, just a few weeks ago he was standing firmly with bush as he has on all issues, reckon he's finally reading the mail from his constituents, he is up for re-election in 08, if he has abandoned bush I have to wonder how many hardcore partisan repubs have also seen the writing on the wall, I suspect the next vote concerning iraq will show more repubs siding with the dem's

Wimps are the lawmakers that gave Bush carte blanch in the first place. Yes they were lied to, but it was their duty to find the truth before giving Bush a loaded gun.

Wimps are the military leaders that just shut up when Shinseki said securing (not taking) Iraq would take over 300,000 troops at that time. Wimps are the generals that quietly obeyed Rummy’s order not to plan.

Wimps are the so-called leaders that are supposed to protect us and today we find out Al-Qaeda is stronger than it was on 9/11. How’s that for a metric in how successful our war in Iraq has been? Al-Qaeda only had training in remote camps, but now (thanks to us!) they have urban training grounds all over Iraq where they are surely preparing some nice surprises for our cities.

Wimps are every POS Republican still blindly backing Bush in spite of the clear facts: we fucked up Iraq, we lost Iraq, and we are now less safe because of Iraq. As alcoholics know, the first step to solve problem is to admit you have a problem. Admit it – we fucked up! It seems that Mitch McConnell (I wonder what Rove has on him?) and the rest of his 29% are going to go down with the ship; the only problem is that it is our ship and they want to drag us right down with them.

In the end we will all have to admit to being wimps ourselves. Until millions descend on Washington (or hold marches elsewhere) and protest our government that is in the hands of special interests (both parties, except Democrats still try to pretend it is not true while Republicans are proud of being bought and flaunt it – sometimes all the way to jail like Duke Cunningham). This applies not just to this crazy “war”, also to healthcare, taxes, social security, immigration, and many other issues. If we don’t make them hear us soon, then we will be the wimps that let them get away with murder.

The designated smoking area is the National Democratic Club. See, Rebuplicans banned the cigs at their club, so now Boehner has to sneak over to the Democratic Club for his smokes.

The "wimps" in question are generally tending to be Republicans in vulnerable districts or States. If they don't at least put up a pretense of breaking with Bush on Iraq they will have zero chance of re-election.
