Thompson is not a true conservative; he is a neo-con. His membership in the CFR is no exercise in intelligence, but a membership in a globalist think tank that has been comprised of the same families for multiple generations. If you are a conservative, don't be wooed by his deep, commanding voice, instead challenge him on the issues. He is soft on immigration and will not close to door on amnesty. He will not bring our troops home from Iraq, which based on their political donations they would prefer. He has no real healthcare plan, one way or the other. Thompson you will not be my president and if the Republicans put you against Hillary, conservatives are finished. Although, based on the recent trend of the party, maybe that is what they would like. Did the woman have a record of being "disgruntled", or was that an on the spot assessment? Is it possible that her disgruntledness was relative in comparison to Fred's touch of serene wisdom? Why is Thompson referred to in the same sentence with the word "intellectual"? Was he carrying a Spiderman comic book, or the even more telling sign of a Repub intellectual, a Harry Potter book. In my opinion, anyone who would harass a Republican statesman such as Fred is only a few notches away from a violent revolutionary, for which the term "disgruntled" could be an understatement. Further displays of holy beatitude by Fred could warrant putting a tail on him to discover whether he actually glows in the dark or is probably faking it.

This is a problem the GOP better overcome quick.
We cannot expect to reverse the industrial socialist monement in the party in one shot. It took 24 years for the industrial socialists to take control of the GOP and I expect it will take 12-20 years to get it back to where Reagan had it headed. Simply because someone is a member of the CFR does not mean that they agree with everything that comes down the pipe. I am comfortable with Thompson being a member as that allows him to monitor the CFR activities. I appriciate the ideals of Ron Paul but he is simply not electable dur to his hard right stances, any more than Guiliani. Most Republicans in the west are gun owners and will not vote for a man that is vocally anti-gun ownership as well as imposing permiting requirements on those firearms suck as boplt action shotguns that would be allowed.
Last election we winessed the reaction of the union workers in mid-west gun states that refused to vote for Kerry due to Kerry's anti-gun stance.

Let's go back over this again, from the perspective of the guy who was standing right next to the Ron PauLunatic in question.

1) She was permitted to ask her first question -- and Fred Thompson tried to answer it. He had to ask her to stop talking in order to be able to do so. Once he was done, staff attempted to ask her to leave. She whined about being touched, and ignored their attempts to remove her from an event in a private terminal booked by the campaign (which was therefore a private venue, not a public forum).

2) At least twice more that I recall, the staff attempted to speak to her. She rebuffed them each time.

3) Finally, as she began raving again, police (presumably off-duty cops hired by the organizers to provide security) stepped in so as to prevent her from disrupting the Senator's departure. Again, this is consistent with this being an event in a non-public venue.
