The New York Times writes about anti-abortion conservatives who are a bit worried about the GOP presidential field.
Conservative bloggers have drawn up a petition urging the GOP presidential candidates not to shun the Republican CNN/YouTube debate,

Oh-eight (R): YouTube debate still on?

Since Democrats are SOOOOOO afraid to go on Fox News and debate, my guys should go on there, to show the American people that the democratic party is nothing but a bunch of boozing, slick haired, bed wetting, nonsense talking morons who are just so deathly afraid to debate the issues. The idea of Brett Humme asking Hillary questions probably keeps her up at night. As long as they stay off of Fox, there can be no serious debate about the future of America. Lord knows what kind of wack jobs will be posting questions on Youtube, but hey this is the debates, even if it is a little crazy at times.

Oh-eight (R): YouTube debate still on?

The you tube debate is demeaning to the entire process and is beneath the stature of the office the candidates are seeking. America likes to be a winner not a loser. Listen to old Gorby from the other day. We have winners syndrome, too nad loser. Scoreboard. Try winning next time.

McCain will not, because he cannot, touch any of that Budweiser money of his wife's. Her Daddy made him sign that pre nup as a condidtion of supporting him in congress then the Senate. His love of the spot light is so strong that he is delusional about his chances. Time to get off the stage, your out of funds and there is no credit card.

Bob Dole is wrong again. He was the wrong choice of the GOP in 96 - just because it was your turn you should have declined. He at least did one honorable thing he resigned his senate seat in order to be a full time candidiate.

If Hillary was sure that she would win that is what she would do. In fact we need resign to run laws for the Feds. Kerry loses and become complainer in chief.

Senators are not good candidates anyway for the presidency. You can talk all day and not be responsible for your votes or the results of them.

A Governor or a mayor will win, that is why if the Dems were smarter they would go for Richardson. But just like the GOP with Dole because it was his turn, the Dems are going to give Hillary her shot and in the end the result will be the same.

Oh-eight (R): YouTube debate still on?

Everytime I switched through the cable new channels this weekend, it seemed that CNN had a replay of that goofy YouTube debate running. All the Info-Babes must have been on vacation, so they had to fill the time. They should have replayed the Paris Hilton's interview with Larry King, it would have got better ratings.

Oh-eight (R): YouTube debate still on?

not Richardson---he is ok with the immigrants getting voting rights and all tthe rest of the goodies that legals enjoy.Mccain is so over,Thompson, too old and already talks like Bush, egad not another nincompoop-----

Oh-eight (R): YouTube debate still on?

Fox has less credibility than You Tube---let the republicans go on Fox and get the but kissing Hannity treatment. Also why is Tucker Carlson not on Fox?He parrots Fox constantly.

Oh-eight (R): YouTube debate still on?

Well, after all, Youtube is a liberal platform. CNN does nothing but run the youtube debate all weekend and all MSNBC does is run crime shows. No wonder Fox is the leader!

Oh-eight (R): YouTube debate still on?

GONZO-GATE

Oh-eight (R): YouTube debate still on?

The last time I went on Fox News the wife made me clean up the whole basement. I told her I was just marking my territory, but she didn't care.

Oh-eight (R): YouTube debate still on?

The YouTube debate did nothing by further trivialize the Democratic candidates. They looked like fools standing their being lectured to by a snowman.

In other Global Warming (oops, sorry, Climate Change) news, big disappointment for the Left in that it appears the hurricane season has been canceled for 2007. Karl Roves weather machine seems to be working to perfection.

Oh-eight (R): YouTube debate still on?

jerry, where on earth do you get the idea that YouTube is a liberal platform? I understand your loyalty to the network. Most of us tune in to networks that speak our language. It's sad though that your language consists of intolerance, racism, xenophobia, and religious elitism, and illogic spewed by the likes of O'Reilly and Hannity. These guys aren't serious political correspondents. They are carnival hucksters whose one and only consideration is driving up ratings for the entity that also gives us the New York Post, American Idol, and much of the subpar garbage on American television. When I need a dose of liberal slant, I tune in to MSNBC, but at least I can expect a more level treatment of viewpoints there. And even more so on CNN. And I certainly would not suggest that someone like Keith Olbermann moderate the debate. If you would have been able to see beyond the slight silliness of the YouTube questioning format, you would have seen a moderator who handled events reasonably well, and tried to keep the group honest. So you watch your Fox, while many of the rest of us try to find a more rational and truthful approach to how our nation should move forward. Perhaps if you moved out of a state which leads the nation in executions and brainless swaggering redneckism, you would be able to think more clearly.

Oh-eight (R): YouTube debate still on?

Not surprised Charlie, I expect they will cherry pick videos to fit in the Repub agenda also. Usually someone will be questioned on their agenda, not their opponents agenda -- no surprise there, it is just the standard way of doing things.

Oh-eight (R): YouTube debate still on?

Fox News is a very thinly disguised front for Neocon talking points, and anyone who thinks they are "fair and balanced" or thinks Fox is "the leader" is stupendously, astonishingly, extraordinarily and irredeemably stupid. However, the YouTube debate format gives CNN the opportunity to pick and choose questions from American citizens, absolving CNN of any public responsibility for the types of questions asked since CNN could always deflect accusations of bias by saying: "Hey, we didn't come up with the questions. The voting public did." This YouTube debate format enables CNN to more covertly express its left-leaning bias, thereby protecting its reputation as a fair-and balanced news network. I'm sure CNN was drooling over the opportunity to disgrace GOP frontrunners by selecting questions from "the voting public" intended to do just that -- disgrace the GOP frontrunners. I'm sure CNN is currently fuming over the recently announced withdrawl of Giuliani and Romney from September's YouTube debate. I say, "Good for them!" If the Dems can wimp out of the FoxNews debate, which was to be conducted in a conventional format, a few GOP candidates can certainly boycott the CNN debate, to be conducted in a much riskier format.

Oh-eight (R): YouTube debate still on?

Hey, who took my job as TV Guide reader?

Oh-eight (R): YouTube debate still on?

Yeah Harold,
With those plummeting ratings. Everybody must be flocking to Fox News.

Oh-eight (R): YouTube debate still on?

It is sad when our politicians are afraid to face the American people... or are they just afraid of Ron Paul.

Ron Paul is so dominant on YouTube that Giuliani and Romney are scared of the home court advantage Ron Paul would have. So support the troops and vote Ron Paul!

Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton were doing about the same in the 'Scientific Polls' at this stage in their elections. 'Scientific Polls' at this stage only measure name recognition. Over the next six months Ron Paul will gain name recognition. Most people who learn about Ron Paul become major supporters.

70% of Americans want us out of Iraq and want change.

Ron Paul is only republican candidate against the war.

Ron Paul only needs about 30% vote from republicans sick of the war and abuse of powers to win in republican primaries.

Dr. Ron Paul is the man of integrity and courage that America needs at this time.

“Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.” John Quincy Adams

We are making history -- Vote Ron Paul!

Visit YouTube and search Ron Paul to learn more...
Oh-eight (R): YouTube debate still on?

"Hey, who took my job as TV Guide reader?"

It got sent off-shore. Some guy in India now does it.

Oh-eight (R): YouTube debate still on?

In my opinion, the refusal of the "top tier" candidates to face CNN/Youtube debate is yet another proof that the only electable GOP candidate, who has any chance against the energised Democrats in the general election, is Ron Paul. He is the only GOP Candidate, who can prove his principles to the American People based on his 20 year flawless voting track record in the Congress, as listed below:
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.
He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.
Please, search "Ron Paul" in www.youtube.com to check this yourself.
