Saltsman is right - Rude WAS rude. He was wrong. But if Brownback can't deal with an insult from someone who supports a different candidate, how in the heck is he going to stand up to Al-Queda? This is nothing more than Brownback's (failing) attempt to latch onto a little of Huckabee's momentum - Huckabee won a county straw poll in Iowa the other day, coming in with 22% of the vote in what is, obviously, a packed field. The Brownback camp is shameless in their bid to seize a little of that spotlight.

Pretty impressive response.. Sounds like Huckabee is a lot tougher than I thought he was. Too bad he didnt believe in evalution; I refuse to vote for someone who believes that 99% of the population is misguided.

Huckabee's campaign had nothing to do with the e-mail sent by Rev.Rude so why should they apologize. Is every candidate now responsible for what a supporter might say? If thats the case then every candidate in this Presidential election needs to apologize..daily.

First Romney's "I'm such a swell Dad and Hubby" radio spot and now this backbiting between the two of the Republican right-wing candidates. How many times do we have to witness all this Republican religious and evangelical crap before we finally agree that spirituality has absolutely no place in politics, especially when it is used to attempt to gain an advantage over the other competitors. Are all Democrats hell-bound? Is Huckabee's God better than Brownback's God? Has Bush's God been on vacation for the last 6 years? For once, can we have a campaign involved in issues facing our coutry, and free of this moralistic posturing?

Huckabee never said his God was better, if you knew Mike Huckabee you would know that he isn't that kind of person. Huckabee embraces everyone, he has even reached out to Michael Moore asking him if the two of them can get together and talk about health care. Huckabee doesn't care about someones party connections or their religion, he just cares about people. This is the type of man we need for President, one that can work with everyone to get the job done.
