Secy Rice doesn't get the credit that she deserves. African Americans don't believe she is "truly black" which is ridiculous. For her to grow up in racist and segregationist Alabama and end up where she is now takes lot of smarts and perseverance.

As an African American woman, I am proud that the most powerful woman in Washington is a Black woman even though I hate her with a passion for her politics. Also, the most powerful celebrity is Oprah , another Black woman who I actually LOVE like my mother. When the playing field is equal, look who exceeds. Imagine this. A supposed 'inexperience' rookie who is so naive and irresponsible is #20.
For someone who was not in Washington 3 and half years ago to end up as the 20th most powerful seems to me to mean Obama is not so naive, inexperienced or much of a rookie.

Condi, regardless of race or gender, was National Security Advisor. She failed to "advise" the president. Numerous times she (and many others in this administration) has stated that she feels her duty is/was to "serve the president". Wrong. Her, and others, duty is to protect our country and constitution by advising the president. She was a "yes person" in the very position that required a person strong enough to tell the president when he was wrong. She failed miserably, not because of her race or gender, but because she wasn't strong enough to do her job.

Rice has been nothing but an enabler to a barstool pilot and a draft dodger. Running around the world promoting democratic elections that have backfired - look at the Palestinean elections.
